http://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/index.ssf/2010/09/blazers_insider_brandon_roy_an.html Roy said he's saw a psychologist in the offseason. Could it be? Is Nate really telling Roy to get out and run?
I hope Miller can develop some kind of rapport with Oden. I doubt he can right now, but even if it takes all season and they have it for the playoffs...the Blazers' offense could be devastating, with Miller setting up Roy and Oden.
Honestly, Dre is the quietest most "keeps to himself" person I've ever been around. He acted the same after blowing up for 52 on Dallas as he did on an off day on the road! As mellow as they come.
The best basketball play I've ever seen was Oden as the sixth Blazer on the court. He was left wide open, which led to an easy bucket at the rim for him.
It was Travis who scored. Haha. I was at that game. Great comeback, and awesome win over the defending champs without Roy. GO BLAZERS!
Why? Are they going to have a bonding moment? Share an epiphany? Talk about the angst of Picasso or the brilliance of Monet?
I think that this is key to this team reaching its potential. I would put it second only to Greg getting healthy. If Brandon follows through on this, I'll resume worshiping the ground he walks on. Go Blazers
Rip Hamilton who can isolate and break down a defense when things get tough or grind to a halt. I love the idea of Roy catching and shooting open shots sometimes, saving his legs a bit, and then doing his iso thing when necessary. Jordan did a lot of catching and shooting off Pippen passes, but still took his defender out on the wing and broke him down plenty.
Rip Hamilton? The same guy who was the key component to a title team? The leading scorer on a championship team. Heaven forbid!
From the limited time they were on the court together, I do not think this is a problem. I think it was Greg that spoke up for Dre when Blake was starting. Miller is a veteran and should do more to exploit GO's talents. Good for Brandon. It seemed like he stopped getting the calls starting with the Houston playoff series. His game has to evolve in order for this team to go anywhere.
Just one more reason for Brandon to approach him, talk to him, and understand him and his game. They can talk through this. They can practice through this. But they have to communicate first.
<cough>Chauncey Billups</cough> <cough>Ben Wallace</cough> Hamilton and 'Sheed were probably tied for 3rd, although Tayshaun Prince was their lockdown perimeter defender. So, if the idea is to turn Roy into the 3rd (or 4th?) most crucial player, I say go for it! Anyhow, I'm just having fun with it.
