<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>ESPN - Marc Stein of ESPN is reporting that sources have informed him the Clippers are likely to seek a trade involving Corey Maggette for the best draft selection they can acquire in return, most likely from a team such as Chicago or Atlanta, who will have a lottery pick, as well as salary cap space. The thinking behind dealing Maggette is that Donald Sterling will be more willing to spend the money to re-sign Sam Cassell and Vladimir Radmanovic if Maggette's salary is shed</div>

Do either team really need Magette though? The Bulls are loaded with swingmen, and Atlanta needs to get bigger. Actually, both teams need big men. Perhaps get Magette for "leverage" in a bigger deal?

They better get a top 5 pick if they trade Maggette. Because this is a weak draft this year, imo. After 5 years I would hate to the the Duke Brothers split up, they are a pretty soild duo. Idk why they think Maggette's pay is such a threat. If they want to clear cap get rid of Mobley. I doubt Cassell will be resigned for big bucks, hes old. I would keep Maggette, even though he played 30 games during last season

Maggette's always injured but trading him when your a playoff team is pure foolishness. I don't see their being a great need for Maggette out there.

The Bulls and Hawks dont need Maggette at all, both teams are loaded with guards and forwards and need more big men. He would be a good fit in Toronto but I highly doubt the Raps would trade their pick for Maggette. The Clippers are a playoff team now, why would they trade their 2nd best player, it wouldve made more sense when they sucked but now its just stupid.

Yep, most teams in the league right now have SG/SF's...not a huge market for one that is always injured.

I wouldn't mind Maggs on the Mavs, but I don't think we have anything of interest to the Clippers.

SG is one of our weaker positions on the Wiz, Butler is a SF, Daniels is a combo guard, Hayes is a SF imo he doesnt have great ball-handling skills to be a SG, and Taylor is 6'5 or so but he is better suited at PG. Maggs would be nice on this team, maybe he would even be our 6th in order to get more scoring from the bench, but I doubt it. Maggs is a proven 20 ppg player and will be reluctant to back up somebody.
