Still count as points. But I catch your drift. The outcome of that game could of been a lot different if that play had never happened.
You can argue until your red in the face, but the fact is Rip Hamilton was the leading scorer on that title team. Whichever way you want to organize them by importance is just your opinion. That Rip Hamilton was the leading scorer is fact.
Sure it's a "fact" that Rip was the leading scorer at 20ppg. It's not a "fact" that he was "the" key component, however. Billups won Finals MVP, and Ben Wallace averaged 10ppg/14rpg/2.5bpg/2spg. I put both of those player at a higher level than Hamilton's rather pedestrian 20ppg.
Roy and Miller have still never had a conversation? Someone needs to make them go on a rafting trip together.
Most top ten basketball players in the world have a tinge of this. Luckily ours is humble enough to admit it so true, but I don't think that's how they do in Compton. B-Roy needs to show Dre how we do it in the NW
Roy admitted it? All I read was Quick telling us about Roy's actions which Quick had been covering up.
The Pistons that year were the definition for team ball. I don't really think you can rank one over another for importance. But Rip Hamilton was one of their go to scorers on that team. He was their main scoring threat. Much like Roy is here. He is our main scoring threat. But he definitely isn't our best defender, or getting the dirty work done in the paint.
we raft the best white water rivers in the world, with gallons of the best booze/or worst, dine on the freshest salmon, and bond around a camp fire. Not like the one you have in your back yard either
I'm not saying they have to become BFFs or anything, but in every organization I've ever been a part of there's a kind of welcoming lunch or something with you and the manager (I'd say Nate or KP would be the analogy) and one with the team lead (in this case, Roy). In no organization I've ever been in is it appropriate to go a year without having a 1-on-1 discussion of any sort. Have you been in one where that's worked that way (curiosity, not snarkiness)? No discussion like "Hey Andre, what do you do during the summer to keep yourself healthy during the season?" or other shop talk? Again, I'm not asking him to probe his soul or anything, but not having a single 1-on-1 in the 15 months since he's been signed seems odd. Reminds me a bit of how LMA and Roy didn't talk for a year b/c of a perceived dinner invitation slight.
Which is funny, because everyone points to LMA and Miller as the aloof guys, but Roy is the one constant in both situations... Roy gets a lot of credit for being a leader due to how outspoken he is publicly, but I've never gotten the impression he's as consistent with his message in private. He seems quite childish at times, actually. But he's good at polishing up his statements for public consumption.
They shoud go streaking! If they really want to make a splash with the media, they can take Greg. Go Blazers
Alright, I'd be fine with a championship if Roy was the leading scorer and 3rd best player. Hell, I'm pretty sure most Blazer fans would be happy with a championship if Roy was 7th leading scorer.
