"The NFL fined Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan and defensive end Jason Babin $5,000 each for unnecessary roughness penalties in last Sunday's game against the Giants.

It's the second fine this season for Finnegan — he was docked $5,000 for his involvement in a fight with Steelers receiver Hines Ward in Week 2 — and the third for Babin.

Finnegan, who was flagged for tackling Giants receiver Steve Smith by his helmet, said he wouldn't change the way he plays.

"Nobody cares about fines,'' he said. "I don't care. It doesn't matter. I am going to keep playing the way I play and if we keep getting a FedEx every week (with a fine notice from the NFL) and win football games, I could care less about getting a FedEx.''

Babin, who was flagged for a late hit against the Giants, is up to $15,000 in fines this season.

"You are playing hard and someone wants to sit there on Monday morning and nitpick,'' Babin said. "C'mon, it's football. I was just playing hard.""
