I liked Kurt Thomas' take on Thibo's coaching style. And a little more detail on Ronnie's injury and the competition for the shooting guard position.

New voice: Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau worked for Jeff Van Gundy with both the Knicks and Rockets and often has been referred to as a disciple of Van Gundy and Pat Riley. But veteran big man Kurt Thomas, who has played for all three, sees differences.

"Thibs has taken some things from Jeff, but he definitely has implemented his own style," Thomas said. "Jeff would probably keep us in here six hours and Tom only keeps us in here three."

Thomas said the latter part light-heartedly but was serious when he said Riley used to conduct double sessions featuring three-hour contact practices in each.

"It was great for me," Thomas said. "I was young and my body could adjust faster. That was the backbone for how I was able to stay in the league this long because of my experiences with Pat and Jeff."

Such arduousness since has been negotiated out of the collective bargaining agreement, which is fine with Thomas, who turns 38 next week.

"That's the great thing about the Players Association," he said, laughing. "They did a great job with that."

Layups: The Bulls continue to hold Ronnie Brewer out from the contact portions of practice with a sore right hamstring. Brewer tore that hamstring last February. But Thibodeau said "it's not the same injury" and "Ronnie had a really good month of September where he moved fine, so it's more precautionary." … Saying players accomplished all he wanted in the three-plus-hour morning session, Thibodeau canceled the scheduled night session. … One day after calling the starting shooting guard spot "up for grabs," Thibodeau said he's against rotating starters at the position.

If we have Noah playing 36/37 mpg I am more than fine with the balance C minutes being filled by Kurt Thomas and Carlos Boozer , which , opens up PF minutes for Taj ( some ) in addition the 12 he is going to play there anyway

Beyond all the Taj nob polishing he's still only going to be playing 15 to 18 minutes on this team if everyone has health

Asik won't see the floor much this season ....he'll be a Dalibor like crash test dummy in training until he learnsa da english...and the tick tock of the NBA game

Suck on that all the ridiculous " we knew him when which is how we get cred" realgm numbnutters
