Have we seen anyone play this camp? Many would argue thats a good thing why is this concerning? Yes many Yes they are very good I <3 you
How many times last year did we see the players play together as intended to find out if they can play together? Zero. How many teams have one legit PG, let alone a backup one of quality? Hell I can tell you that both teams in last years finals, did not have a good backup PG. The Celtics played Rhondo the whole game and overtimes sometimes. Who cares if Nate only has a one year deal. I am in wait and see mode with his coaching changes to see if it helps out and if it doesn't, I really don't give a shit if he hits the road. Signing Greg to a contact right now is fucking retarded. Most centers who are hurt as much as Greg through their first few years in the league are gone by year 4. Robert Swift comes to mind immediately. as for your last 2 questions, of course they are. They are the world champs. They are the team to beat until somebody beats them.
Backup SF is something I agree with you on.. I am concerned about it. If we kept Martell I wouldnt be as much. But I suppose Matthews can fill in the minutes Batum doesnt get. But I realized how thin we are at the 3 when Sly made that thread about Batum being hurt a few weeks ago.. we dont have much to turn to after him.
This is the definition of "trolling". You started a post, using some article as the excuse. None of your 5 questions listed here (except maybe #1) have ANYTHING to do with the article. Just, you started yet another thread, so you could blather on, and do some more trolling.
I'm not overly concerned by the notion that they are looking for a backup point mostly because I think they are an Andre Miller sprained ankle away from having to rely on Bayless or a super green rookie in Armon Johnson. Ideally I think they need to find somebody who is an adequate veteran backup to fill the second or third spot, or they need to do a consolidation move with Bayless and Rudy as the primary pieces on the move (maybe they throw Williams in the mix too as trade bait?).
I think they also should be considering a lineup that includes Brandon Roy as the starting PG and Andre Miller as his backup, with Rudy and Jerryd as the Shooting-Guards.
Wesley/Cunningham will mop up any extra SF minutes. So, when we go into the season without trading for Chris Paul, what hilarious nickname are you gonna come up with for Cho?
well he has to earn a nickname. but im getting ready. not getting collison was shameful. and our roster needs major tweaking
Hey guy, I know you've been gone a while so I'll cut you some slack. But not doing, knowing or saying anything is considered "refreshing" now.
"Oden is pathetic crap, but it's concerning that he doesn't have a long-term deal yet. Also, I make sense."
considering our only other options are.... pendergraph which is laughable, a 36 year old camby, and pryz who will likely be traded by FEB.... we really dont have a choice to hope and pray for oden.
Always look to improve the roster. Every team has holes in their roster. No team has a quality backup at every single position. But, if the Blazers are healthy going into the playoffs the roster is actually fine the way it is (assuming that Rudy get's his wish and is cut or traded for a scrub and a pick before the deadline). Playoff rotation: Starters: Miller; Roy; Batum; LA; Oden Bench: Bayless; Matthews; Camby (maybe Cunningham and/or Pryz) The rest of the roster is youth that can't complain about not being part of the rotation.
