Thanks. One more inch or so, and he'd legitimately be able to guard 1-5.

Very funny. Or at least 20-30 lbs so he could play PF while Aldridge plays center.

Everyone always hopes for growth, but it rarely happens. The best example is always David Robinson. Entered the Navy as a 6'9" forward, exited as a 7'1" center. They really didn't expect much out of him when he entered the Navy.

I know this is an outlier, but an uncle of mine was 5'11" when he left for college at age 18. He grew a little his first and third years, but his second year when he was 20 he grew 8 inches and ended up 6'10" by the end of college. Just a side note, his mother was 5'5" and father was only 5'8". Crazy things happen.

As far as me, I was always tiny growing up, and the doctor said I would be between 4'8" and 5'2" max. I ended up 5'9" but all that growing was in high-school, and never grew in college.

If Batum has grown an inch and has developed some ability to initiate the team's offense...that would be very exciting. We'll see.

I want him to be tall and long enough to shut down Durant every time we play, like he did with Nowitzki last year in the closing minutes. Last year he still looked a bit short compared to Durant, who may well be 6-11 in shoes now (6-10.25 at predraft).

More than the Dirk shutdown, I liked his Kome shutdown.

I remember back in the day Mike Doleac grew a foot in like 9 months! Couldn't get on the court with us then all of a sudden he could never leave!

Pippen was 6'1'' at the start of his college career. By the end, he was 6'8''.

You don't think Luke Ridnour is a good ball-handler? He seemed fine to me in terms of handling the ball.

Jerome Kersey was 6'3" when he graduated high school, could only get a scholarship to Longwood College because no one wanted such a short forward, grew 3" over the summer and added another inch in college.

    Caravan, you joined HRC? Cool!

Yeah, a very nice kid named Justin came to our doorstep while my wife and I were deciding which pizza place to go to... I've been meaning to support the cause for a while, but never felt motivated. This was a good excuse.

We hated Central. Still do. Doleac and Santangelo made basketball season unbearable.

Rodman was another good example. I don't remember the specifics, but in his first book I think he said he was around 5'10 when he finished high school, and within two years he was around 6'8.

I was 5'9" and shaving every other day as a freshman in high school. I'm still 5'9".
