Dude, make sure you're taking a Whole food vitamin(derived from fruits and veggies). much better for you. Might have to pay a little more but it's worth it. This is coming from the advice I got from a Doctor friend.

Just went and grabbed some extra Vitamin D and C to gear up for winter. I plan on avoiding the flu!

If you eat fruits and veggies on a regular basis, 5 servings a day each, I've heard that you don't even need to take a multivitamin. I barely get 2 so I need it for sure.

I hear if you eat healthy and take a multi-vitamin, your colon will likely give out.

But seriously, in general people are pretty ignorant about colon diseases. Never even knew what it was until I was near death and the surgeon said we need to remove your colon within 40 minutes, or you will die.

Crazy shit, better hope it never happens to you, your kids, or anyone you know for that matter.

    A little food for thought.

Here's what my colon looked like when they removed it:

Agreed, I know much more about it from reading your posts than I ever would have otherwise.

You ought to throw some exercise up in the mix too. Get a bike/unicycle/long board; something fun.

    Performance Plus Multi Vitamin (Costco)
    Vitamin D3 (NatureMade)
    Vitamin C (NatureMade)
    Calcium-Magnesium-Zinc (NatureMade)
Vitamin B - 100 Hi Energy Complex (Costco)
    Melatonin (NatureMade)

This is all recommended by a Naturopathic Physician that used to work with my dad. I went in for a full blood workup and have actually gotten IVs of vitamins and minerals I was lacking.

Everyone should be taking a multivitamin but you should also take vitamin D.

I take an Equate multivitamin & a Vitamin D pill (1000Iu). I didn't know this until about a month ago, but vitamin D isn't a vitamin, it's actually a hormone. With the fantastic gloomy weather coming for Portland, I decided I needed to start taking vitamin D to stay balanced.

    Melelueca vitality six probiotic multivitamins
Simply put...it has all the shit you need in it. Best multi on the market. A giant handfull of pills in the am and pm, but I don't have to buy a bunch of other stuff and add to the mix of crap I take.

$100 a month for vitamins seems a bit steep. But if it really works well for ya, it's probably more than worth it.

I've been taking them since April and haven't paid a dime for any of them. Got them free from a friends brother. Holy crap...didn't know they were that spendy. Just looked at the website. If you sign up with them you can get them for about 70. When my supply runs out there is another less expensive Meleluca product I'm switching to since I don't need the heart component that these include. I think they are going to run me about forty bucks.
