EDIT I meant A.L. East. Who do you guys think will win the A.L. East?I'm going with the Red Sox, they have better pitching this year, and their hitting is also solid.

Fixed the title for ya. :happy0144: Anyways, I have to go with the Yankees. They're only a game behind the Sox with all of their injuries. Once they get everybody back to full health, there's no stopping them. Just too many powerful bats in that lineup.

True, but they're proven they have the ability to do so with even with mediocre pitching. Just look at the damage they're doing already, with a few of their key players injured too.

Yes, but the Red Sox have pitching and hitting. That's why I think they will do better in the long run.

I don't know man. The Yankees hitting is a league ahead of everyone else's. It'll be tough for the Sox to hold up the little of a lead they already have, especially when the Yanks start getting healthy.

I'm going to pick the Sox....ususally I would pick the Yankees just because they always have an insane offensive lineup, not to say they don't this season but their pitching is really sketchy and pitching is what gets you into the playoffs and gets you wins in the playoffs. The Sox have a closer in Jonathan Papelbon who is currently a top 3 closer in this league. Randy Johnson hasn't been that solid and the Yankees pitching is just sketchy overall. People always talk about the curse of the bambino which was obviously broken in 2004, but what about the curse of a-rod. This guy can't seem to help his teams win big games. I hope it continues with the Yankees.

Meh, the Yankees have won the division 8 times in a row (this includes the year the Red Sox won the world series and a couple years with ARod). I doubt much will change.

BlueJays ftwlol idk. It should be close though. Blue Jays are heating up now. Were going for the sweep against the Red Sox right now. Also, were the only team with a dominant ace in the bullpen. And also we're getting our power stroke going. Troy Glaus has 17 homers, Wells has 15. Can you say 40 and 40?

Blue Jays are such a good team...but they're in an amazing division and their chances and slim this year to make the playoffs. They're in a division with both the Red Sox AND Yankees, and for the wildcard battle they'd have to go against one of those teams, as well as either the amazing tigers or white sox. The jays are doing great right now but they'll have to do even better if the want to win.If their pitching says healthy they have solid rotation, and their batting is nothing to worry about. They have the best batting in the AL.1. Halladay2. Burnett (upon return)3. Lilly4. Chacin5. JansenNot bad if you ask me, and BJ Ryan is one of the top closers in the league.

The New York Yankees will win the division. Dominated it since 1998.

I think the Yankees will win it but they'll choke again in the ALCS to the Texas Rangers. Okay, maybe not the Rangers, maybe the White Sox or Tigers.

Red Sox anyone? Starting pitching is coming around. Wake and Schilling are having good years, Lester looks like a future 1 or 2 guy, and is pitching real well after his first 3 career starts. Best closer in the game, and one of the best set up men in Papelbon and Timlin, and hitting that is finally coming around. Recipe for success. Looks like the Yankees age, injuries, and A-Rods shittyness are finally catching up to them, and I dont know if they can take the division this year. GO SOX WOOO!

Every year the Sox are supposed to win the AL East but every year they come up first. Why is this year any different? There is hardly any seperation between the 2 and the Yanks have 2 big bats in their lineup missing and a few bullpen pitchers injured as well. Once they're all healthy, theres no fu*kin with the Yankees

Dominance over a division like that isn't everything (lol Braves) in determining who will win, but it proves that they can do it over and over again.

Red Sox are f*cking on fire. Everyone is pitching and hitting the ball well, and the Yankees seem to be barely winning close games. Their pitching is ridiculously suspect, and their missing key people on the offensive side. IMO if they want to win theyre going to need to deal for some starting pitching and bullpen help ASAP, because if they dont get the pitching consistency theyre not going to be a good team, and not going to be able to compete with the Red Sox.
