Anyone else get the feeling that he's trying to play up his trade value? I imagine Cho told him that he isn't worth a bag of peanuts right now, and if he truly wants out of town he better play worth a damn or he'll be sitting on our bench for the next two seasons.

I don't think we need to attach a Machiavellian motive to everything Rudy does. :) Maybe he's just trying to play basketball to the best of his ability. I think his villainy has been overstated. I think he didn't handle the situation very well over the past half year or so, but I don't think he's necessarily actively doing anything and everything to escape the team.

Not if what he said at media day about not wanting to play in the NBA period is true. That kind of drop his trading value as low as it can go.

Rudy simply doesn't give a fuck if Nate pulls him or not, so he is playing a lot looser. Amazing how that happens. It would be fun to see what would happen if the entire team didn't feel they'd get benched for a bad play.

Yeah! We might win by 30 instead of just 29!

Yes we understand you don't like Nate. But not everything is about Nate.

Supposedly his European agent is going to be on 95.5 the game at 8 this morning to "air some dirty laundry" maybe he'll give us the scoop?

Sounds like a desperate move on Rudy's part if he does. But what will happen is it will just piss Cho off more. This will be like a Spanish Soap Opera when this guy gets done. Lots of drama and no substance.

I have said this before. Don't be surprised if everything with Rudy ends up working out. If Rudy, Bayless and Mathews can play together, all of the other issues go away. Wins can bring happiness.

That is still only 15 minutes a game. So I am not hopefull he will be happy.

Supposedly the Knicks still want him, and are very excited about their foreign C prospect, any chance we should/could grab Ronny Turiaf from them?

Pryzbilla + Rudy for Turiaf and a future pick?

Not sure that I'd do it personally, I don't know if he's a huge upgrade over Pendergraph, and if everyone's healthy there's not many minutes to go around (with Aldridge, Oden, and Camby), but we know he'd play very hard at least.

I still wouldn't mind trading bayless (just don't think he'll ever learn to pass), keeping Rudy for the season, and developing Armon Johnson in spot minutes.

In this scenario who exactly is the back up point guard?

Johnson isn't even close to ready and I don't think Mathews or Rudy are capable.

Ok. Rudy comes over as a rookie and lights it up. Nate tells his to play more under control and he struggles. Rudy wants a trade and doesn't give a fuck what Nate says and he lights it up. Good to know it's not Nate.

So - Nate's problem is that he requires discipline from his players? Especially, a role-player.

A coach needs to tailor his team's play around the strengths of his stars, and Rudy, unfortunately, is no star.

    This was weak...

This was for a different coach, of course. McMillan wasn't coach of the Blazers when Rudy had a nice rookie season. So that reinforces your theory. All the facts line up.

Rambled on about Rudy's feelings and avoided tough questions. More of the same.

IMO, many Europeans simply don't understand the American mindset of being the best you can be, pushing yourself, and putting in work
