http://www.chicagotribune.com/sport...-1007-bulls-chicago--20101006,0,3151292.story As soon as Luol Deng puts his car in motion towards the Berto Center, his excitement builds for another kind of motion. "I have a big smile on my face just driving to practice," Deng said. "I'm able to move a lot again. That's my game. The way we're playing offensively, there are so many different ways I can move without the ball. I find myself all over the floor, which is good. It allows me to use my instincts." Deng has endured the wrath of Bulls fans who have called him injury-prone. Or not worth his six-year, $71 million contract. Or not Carmelo Anthony. But it wasn't too long ago that Deng was the darling of the league's general managers, who projected him to be an All-Star and the biggest breakout player in their annual survey.
http://www.suntimes.com/sports/basketball/bulls/2780436,CST-SPT-bull07.article As is to be expected with a new coach and a new system on both ends of the court, the Bulls were a little tentative throughout and out of sorts for a few moments in their preseason opener Tuesday night. But one player who looked comfortable -- especially on offense -- was small forward Luol Deng. New coach Tom Thibodeau's offense is a change from what the Bulls ran the previous two seasons, but it's a welcome change for Deng because it allows him to return to the way he played under former coach Scott Skiles. ''I'm able to move a lot again,'' Deng said. ''That's my game. I'm excited. With the way we're playing, there's just so many different ways I can move without the ball. I find myself all over the floor, which is real good and allows me to use my instincts and play. ''I'm just looking forward to the season and having a good season.''
I'm forever going to be mystified at how Vinniewas hired to coach this team. Although, I suppose if you look around there are lots of other bad coaches too. but jeez
You know Mike: Deng and Korver will have breakout years, but not everyone will do better. My moneys on Rose taking a statistical step back. The Bulls are not going to be running those high pick and roles in which he flourished. Whatever, it's about winning, and this is a better offense overall.
I still think Vinnie's getting a bad rap. Rose seemed to bloom with him as coach. Noah, too. Taj was surprisingly good as a rook as well. Previous season, Gordon had a fine year. The team pushed the Celtics to the limit. It's got to be a disappointment that he couldn't get Janerro Pargo to be surprisingly good.
Nice one KC ! I get "travellers" occasionally when I'm driving as well. Especially when I am driving "commando" style and my boys have a lot more room to move.
What I want to know is whether Vinny is going to join Scott Baio's reality show ( if its still running ) out in LA Will the real Chachi Arcola please stand up !
