"The Bulls keep saying Ronnie Brewer is sitting with a sore right hamstring as a precaution. Yet that's also the same hamstring Brewer partially tore on Feb. 19, shortly after the Jazz traded him to the Grizzlies.

Still, Brewer, who sat for a second straight game and likely will miss Friday's home exhibition opener, isn't worried.

"Not at all," Brewer said. "I came in during individual workouts and went 110 percent. It was just bad timing because we were about to start camp the next week. It happens. You move on and try to get back to where I was before."

In his most expansive comments about the injury, Brewer said he felt the area tighten up while running the week of Sept. 20. He has continued to do individual work with strength coach Erik Helland but has yet to be cleared for contact.

"That's the next step," coach Tom Thibodeau said. "Once he gets through some practices, then he'll play. In September, he went hard. You're concerned when anyone is injured. But the way he's moving, I'm encouraged."

Pure gold: First, Tyson Chandler got traded to the Mavericks. Then, he won a gold medal with Team USA at the World Championships. Chandler savors all winning experiences after experiencing so much losing in his Bulls career.

"It was a great team, emphasis on team," Chandler said of Team USA. "Nobody cared about playing time. Nobody cared about shots. Well, Kevin (Durant) took all of them anyway. We all just wanted to win."

I could use a Brew, but I'm getting pretty entertained by Korver shooting the lights out.
