Re: Avery's wife harrassed <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>ESPN - The NBA will investigate the incident involving Avery Johnson's wife and two fans which occured during Game 4 in Phoenix, ESPN.com is reporting.Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and reserve center DJ Mbenga, who was inactive and in street clothes for Game 4, entered the stands late in the first quarter after Cassandra Johnson, got into a dispute with two Suns fans.Cuban and Mbenga were joined by team security coordinator Jim Colleran in a section overlooking the Mavs' bench to check on Cassandra Johnson. A misdemeanor assault complaint was reportedly later filed by the fans against Johnson for allegedly shoving and swearing at them.It was not immediately known if Cuban or Mbenga are facing sanction from the league for going into the stands. NBA spokesman Brian McIntyre said the incident would be reviewed by the league office Wednesday. It was not immediately clear whether the actions of an owner and/or an inactive player would be interpreted similarly.Cuban tried to downplay the incident at halftime, calling it "a non-event."</div>
Re: Avery's wife harrassed The wives have no business being in the stands, stay in the box seats. I can remember Jason Kidd's wife sitting with a kidd jersey in a sea of celtics fans wondering why she was getting harrassed.
Re: Avery's wife harrassed lol, she got harrassed? Try to get the story from both sides. I heard she was telling some Suns fans to sit down while they were cheering for the team and then she was cussing them out(another Suns fan that was nearby said that she used the "f-bomb" 4 times) and she also pushed the other fans.I think she was telling them to sit down so her son could watch the game, but these NBA wives are crazy.
Re: Avery's wife harrassed Yeah... there were a lot of fans that said she took a few swings at the man's fiancee... doesn't look too good. It is an unfortunate incident both ways, and hopefully everything is resolved fairly.

Re: Avery's wife harrassed This is a situation you can't take anyone's word as right. It happened and it's being resolved behind closed doors, but I don't think NBA wives need to seated away from the fans. It's only because it's enhanced by them being players' wives this is getting publicity. I'm pretty sure their has been instances with fans fighting with no word by the media. Just one of those things blown out of porportion.
Re: Avery's wife harrassed Yeah, my friend and I were talking about this the other day. We were thinking it would probably be best to at least have the players and coaching staff in a box like in hockey, separated from the fans and all... I hate to take Cuban away from the game, but he probably should be up in the box with Mrs. Johnson.
Re: Avery's wife harrassed Wait, so is Avery Johnson in trouble?Hopefully Del Harris can help us win Game 5,then . Inshaallah.
Re: Avery's wife harrassed Avery is not in any kind of trouble. If anybody is going to be in trouble, it will be his wife and the fans that were involved in the altercation... not Avery.EDIT: I forgot to mention that Mark Cuban and Mbenga could quite possibly be fined if the NBA deems necessary because they did enter the stands. However, in this situation I don't think a fine is warranted.
