"The Nets' offense flows through a cautious series of pump fakes and leaning hooks from its bullish center.

The others orbit Brook Lopez while he tests the waters in the paint, swarming the periphery, waiting to cut or flash.

They do have a point guard, Devin Harris, capable of averaging double figures and puncturing a defense. They have a coach that preaches constant motion and ball movement.

But in the Nets' 90-89 exhibition win over the 76ers today - which was capped with a stunning Stephen Graham 3-pointer as time expired to raise the preseason record to 3-1 - a frontcourt-centric offense continued to drive the machine.

For the third game in a row, the starting power forward and center significantly outscored the point and shooting guards, giving coach Avery Johnson a look at an offense he didn't necessarily expect. Lopez led all scorers with 23 points.

"We need other guys to pick up the slack," Johnson, who expressed a need to get his guards more involved, said following the game. "That's what this team is all about.""
