Dallas Stars forward Mike Ribeiro has been arrested on a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication at a suburban Dallas restaurant.

Plano police say Ribeiro and three others were released from jail before dawn Monday after their arrests Sunday night.

The 30-year-old Ribeiro scored the winning goal in a shootout to beat the New York Islanders 5-4 Saturday night, giving the Stars their first 2-0 start since 2006. Dallas plays its home opener Thursday night against Detroit.

Still immature, even at 30 years of age! It was probably for the best that Montreal let him go some years back.

That sucks for Dallas. They don't need any more negative activity going on.
