I don't have a link but I saw this on Clutchcity. Carney said it would be a dream to play with TMac and Yao. Carney has also been working out with TMAC's trainer, likes his upside, has size, wants him to develop his own shot instead of being only a spot up shooter. The Rockets also worked out Brewer :yahoo:.Seeing there might be no hope of drafting Roy. I went back to wanting the Rockets to draft Brewer. But I like Carney too.

Its either Rodney Carney or Ronnie Brewer, either of them are good, Ronnie Brewer I would take over, but ima probably change my mind, ima go check out how Rodney Carney did in his college, height, weight, etc.

Both are very good athletes.Rodney Carney - He was One of the most athletic players in all of college basketball. He is a good spot up shooter but needs to work on creating his own shot. He is very versatile. He is a pest when he defends. He'll get up on you. Has excellent speed and quickness. He lacks vision and passing ability though. He also needs to shoot with more consistency and needs to add strength and stop settling with that outside shot.Ronnie Brewer - Great versatility. Crazy defense. Great Court vision and passing ability. Very fast, Great rebounder, Great leadership abilities. A childhood incident left him with a funny looking shooting form that might be a concern to us if we pick him. Not a great spot up shooter.

Very tough choice to make between the two of them. Carney is an athletic swingman who can run in transition, decent defender, but needs to get more consistent with his shot. Brewer can play 3 positions: PG, SG, and SF. Scouts are backing away from him a little bit because of that childhood incident dSoung mentioned. His shot is funny-looking and sometimes it really affects his outside game. His ball-handling skills are good despite the injury on his hand, and is a very versatile player. I'd go with Brewer.

I didn't watch either in College, So I don't know what to say, but knowing he has a dream of playing with T-mac and Yao , I will take him over Brewer because he WANTS to play with the Rockets, and its his dreams, So I don't know what to say, Carney is a good pick.Edit: What happened in his childhood to get a shot like that?

Bringing Carney in if he falls to the Rockets i believe could be a good pick. They could move T'mac over to the 2 guard spot where he played in Orlando, and Carney could take the 3. My only problem is having a perimeter team like that would be a prime team to take off and run in the open court, with Alston, or Head running the show, but would Van Gundy allow them to get out in the open court, or would he continue to want to stay in the half court? This would give a dangerous team in the half court having two players to run your offense in like Mcgrady and Yao, as well as a team that can take off and run at any time also with Head/Alston, Mcgrady and Carney.
