Is there anything I can do to improve my free throw shooting besides just going out on my court and shooting them constantly?

I'm actually a pretty good free-throw shooter, just keep on shooting at the court or practice your free throw form away from a ball then pick up the ball and try it. When it gets in notice the strength you exerted and your position and put that in your mental memory.

Yeah. It's weird though, because I will make them all the time on my court at my house (I have a full court in my backyard), but when it comes time for a practice or a game, I can barely ever make one.

The important thing is to have your body sqaured to the basket and have full focus on the basket, nothing else. Take your time, dribble it a couple of times, until your ready. then shoot.

Work on your form I guess, just shoot and shoot.I can easily make 8-10 free throws. Easy thing.

All you can do is concentrate, and remember to bend your knees, to shoot your free throw in good motion.

Get a routine for shooting. It keeps you in a rhythm. Also be confident it will go in.

Yea just continue what you are doing. I am a pretty good free throw shooter. In fact my friends call me Mr. Automatic, it just comes natural to me.

If you can't make them in a game, I suggest that you don't just go out and practice your free throws when you are fresh. Run a mile or something, and then shoot free throws. If you can knock them down when you're tired, you can knock them down all the time.

Bend your knees, point your feet to the basket, slide the ball off your fingertips when your shooting, get a routine going, dont think before your shooting. And besides that, just keep practicing.

Yeah like me, I dribble once in each hand and then one in my right on the side of me. Stay with a ritual/routine and everything will start to flow after a while.

Bend your knees. Same routine. Concentrate on basket. Line up straight with the basket. Fire away.

make sure you maintain balance, and shoot the same way every time. And i got this from better basketball.. instead of looking at the basket or rim as a whole, concentrate on one of the links. By links i mean the place where the net connects to the rim.

what helps is get a basketball and while you're lying down in bed just shoot it up into the air (aim at the ceiling or something).. rememebr to keep your elbow locked and square. try shooting from the top of your head and letting it land on your chest. it's hard at first and your forearm gets pretty tired but it helps your shot a lot. other than that. when you shoot free throws on the court. use your knees and remember to shoot high.
