"The final stats say the Bengals committed nine penalties for 60 yards in their 24-21 loss against Tampa Bay on Sunday. What the stats don't tell is that on each of the Buccaneers' scoring possessions, Bengal penalties preceded and enhanced Tampa Bay putting points on the board.

    • Buccaneers safety Cody Grimm returned a Carson Palmer pass 11 yards for Tampa Bay's first score. On the previous play, tight end Reggie Kelly was flagged for holding that negated a run of four yards by Cedric Benson.

    • Fullback Earnest Graham's 1-yard touchdown run that gave Tampa Bay a 14-10 lead in the third quarter was set up by a pass interference call against cornerback Leon Hall in the end zone.

    • A false start against tight end Jermain Gresham put the Bengals in a third-and-13 situation instead of third-and-8. Tampa Bay cornerback Aqib Talib stole Palmer's pass out of the hands of Terrell Owens to set up the Buccaneers' 50-yard game-tying scoring drive late in the fourth quarter.

    • Owens was called for offensive pass interference with 25 seconds left. Instead of the Bengals having a second-and-1 at the Tampa Bay 33, they were pushed back for a first-and-20 at their own 47. Palmer's pass on that play bounced off Chad Ochocinco's hands and into the hands of safety Sabby Piscitelli.

Two plays after Piscitelli's interception, Connor Barth won the game for the Buccaneers with a 31-yard field goal."
