A probation officer has recommended that Michigan State cornerback Chris L. Rucker, who has been charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, be sent to jail for violating the terms of his probation, the Detroit News reported.

Rucker was cited for operating while intoxicated early Sunday and has until Oct. 20 to appear for his arraignment at East Lansing District Court.

Rucker's probation officer, Matthew J. Brundage, recommended a 21-day jail sentence for violating the terms of his probation on an assault conviction last year, according to court documents, according to the report.

Calls to Rucker's attorney were not immediately returned Wednesday, the News reported.
