Chris Sparks arrived at Nationwide Arena last night in a mood to reminisce. He and his son, Alex, walked through the building's concourse enjoying the tributes to a decade of the Blue Jackets. The Sparkses chuckled at the baby-face images of current players Rick Nash and Rostislav Klesla in a display case located behind Section 106. Bruce Gardiner, the first Jacket to score a goal, was in the house to drop the ceremonial first puck. So were the Chicago Blackhawks, the franchise's first opponent on Oct. 7, 2000. But in their 10th home opener, the Jackets added a touch of unwanted nostalgia for many in the sellout crowd of 18,305 fans.
