I don't see anything wrong with it. It's not like that term hasn't been thrown here from time to time. I don't understand the hostility towards someone that is relatively new here. If he had started by taking shots at Rudy instead of LMA, would that have been okay?

Yeah, but I don't think it warrants hazing. We're actually having a recruiting contest right now and I don't think the kind of environment we want to project towards newcomers is one of elitism and unwelcoming behavior. I realize HCP was just joking around, but that's because I've been posting with him for years now. A new guy might not get the joke.
BG Fan my comments were not directed at anyone or there opinions re: the Blazers . Describing LA as soft is my opinion . Whether he is or not is one of the purpose's of a message board and is supposed to stimulate conversation. My reference to O-Live as being "childish" is my opinion. From my experience there seems to be a lot of off topic threads that are not related to the Blazers. Fighting at MT Tabor was a bit childish when I read about a few years ago. Would you agree ? I just chuckled when HCP made comments about starting a thread with only 60 posts . I was a bit confused because it was on topic and seems like a solution to some of the Blazers problems , IMO . I wasn't offended at all . I was just curious if there were rules here that I didn't know about , etc . So how should I have described LaMarcus as being soft , IMO and then asking about a player who (Bass) is more of a physical player ?
Again, welcome to S2. There was nothing wrong with your original post. Your description of LMA was just fine. People have started threads about LMA calling him much worse. As far fighting is concerned we all finally realized that it is best to do it in Vancouver because Washington doesn't have Measure 11 sentencing rules.
