USC also has a bye week to help prepare/rest for the Ducks.

I still think the Ducks win.

Yeah, I don't think the Ducks have ever been #1. it's quite an accomplishment. Congrats.

Now if OSU can keep it's head out of it's ass, this night might not be an absolute failure.

glad to be possible #1... but a long way to go. As Chip Kelly said. No one remembers who was #1 after week 7 last year. Its about where you finish at the end of the year.

Wow. That's all I have to say about UW vs OSU.

And yeah, beating the Trojans at home is tough for any team. I'm feeling pretty confident though, given that Stanford beat USC and the Ducks were clearly superior to the Trees once they stopped shooting themselves in the foot. But first we got to take care of business vs. UCLA, so I'm not going to look at that game too much yet.

Standing-wise, this was about as good a weekend as the Ducks could've hoped to had. Ohio State loses, Wazzu shows again that they're clearly improving, and the Beavs lose, their first Pac-10 loss and also makes Boise State's win look less impressive. I suppose Boise State could've lost to whichever cupcake they played today, but I'll take this weekends' results nonetheless. =)
