What a drubbing. At least the Bulls were a little better in the 2nd half. Scalabrine and Kirk Thomas each getting 30 minutes? No wonder.
In the second quarter that I did watch, I did not see the Bulls get one rebound. Man were they stymied, and they lost all their mojo in a hurry.... Not a good sign.
Fuck. That was a kick in the balls. No positives, absolutely none. I tried Cantonese bitter mellon last night which tastes like a cross between feces and stale vagina. The Bulls game was worse.
It's just the preseason, but this is a team we're going to have to get past to get to the finals. We didn't have Taj or Boozer, but they were missing rotation players, too.
The Bulls looked dead from the get go. I'm sure they will play better during the regular season, but it certainly makes you question whether this team has the potential to be a true contender.
. . . and when they're not playing the road end of a back to back; in the preseason; when they don't run with their starters, etc. But that was some ugly ball.
To me, this is always the danger of playing system ball. When you lose your way in implementing the system, what do you do? That's where Derrick, Boozer and Thibo need to develop third and fourth options, like the MJ option in the triangle days. So, I'm willing to cut them some slack in this regard. But you're right. It was ugly and disheartening.
