Wow. ANOTHER deflected pass for an INT. Talk about bad luck.

McCoy finished the game with 281 yards, 1 TD and 2 INT (which were fumbled around by the receiver leading to the INT). He had a decent game. MUCH better than expected, especially against the Steelers D. You have to like his accuracy which was better than advertised along with his ability to improvise when under duress. I gotta say, i'm very happy about taking him in the 3rd round. I think he has a shot to be a very good QB, we'll see how he develops over the next few games and how much he takes forward with him.

Funny thing is, it's gonna get harder and harder as he has a TOUGH stretch against the Saints, Jets, and Patriots. Ouch. I gotta say though, if he puts up these similar numbers (maybe 1 INT instead of 2) against THOSE teams, I say we got the QB of the future. He just needs to create better chemistry with the WRs and get more reps as this game was his first since the preseason. First time he's getting reps in with the #1 squad since he was with the practice squad all training camp.

Another thing I noticed was that he lacked awareness in the pocket when it came to his receivers. Obviously it was his first game, but if he plays well next week, he's way ahead of the learning curve + getting his reps in. Factoring everything in, i'd give his performance today an 8/10. If he had limited his interceptions (though not really his fault), he may have scored higher with me.

But you know what, I like the idea of him gaining some of that swag, developing his game and showing off that awesome accurate arm all season long as our starter. I now like the idea of us drafting (we'll probably be top 5 anyways) AJ Green as our #1 superstar receiver of the future. An AJ Green, Massi, Stuckey and Carlton Mitchell (another big receiver with huge potential) receiver core looks sexy.

I'm liking where this is headed. Though I also believe a coaching change is needed despite what most Browns fans say. Many reports are leading to Jon Gruden heading over here, and he'd be great with Colt seeing as how he likes him already.
