I don't completely agree, but I can see where you're coming from.

I think you "hit" upon something there. Rudy should pick a fistfight with someone who won't be here anyway and who he can beat, like Mills. He could make fun of his name Patty and then kick his ass. This might earn him more playing time, from McMillan being impressed, and by eliminating a rival.

And if it doesn't, it might get him traded fast, like Bonzi. A win-win for Rudy.

I'd rather have vets who have proven they can contribute in limited minutes and have a good attitude coming off the bench than young guys at the end of their rookie deal looking to impress and take over at the expense of others whenever they get a limited opportunity.

Turiaf does kind of suck, but won't ever mess up a teams continuity or flow because he's a good defender, good passer, and incredibly hard worker on the court.

    Miller/Rudy/Johnson
    Roy/Matthews/Williams
    Batum/Matthews/Cunningham
    Aldridge/Camby/Turiaf
    Oden/Pryzbilla/Turiaf

If anybody goes down we'd be fine (except for Miller). I think there's a lot of insurance and flexibility on that roster.

Basically you got a five man unit and then Rudy spotting 1-2, Matthews spotting 2-3, Cunningham 3-4, and Camby at 4-5, Turiaf (and Pryzbilla) become insurance.
