just pointing out... Cal doesnt matter. if the Ducks lose to USC or UCLA or Washington before Cal then this whole thing doesnt matter. Its like reverse counting your chickens before they hatch. I swear my wife does the same thing lol
Bullshit. I've openly hated the Ducks every day I've been on these boards, and beyond. However, they will beat the fuck out of Cal. But now I know, I can feel it in the Oregon air, the Ducks will not run the table. Call it a hunch. Much like your hunch the Huskies would beat OSU. It's not going to happen for the Ducks. It just won't.
Wow! Questioning me as a fan of the UofO is like questioning me as a Blazer fan. My grandparents, parents, 85% of my friends and all kinds of other family went there. I spent 4 years down there with my then girlfriend. I am an honorary duck. I was going to hoop games (89-92 to watch my HS teammate Terrell Brandon play!) and football games all during the 80's with my dad. You are starting to stand out around here as somebody who doesn't think before he/she types. Tread wisely.
Obviously...... she married you!........................ I have no reason if or why this is funny, but if you throw a wife or sister into the mix it usually works!
Sad to say, but I think I agree with you. It is so tough to do. I'm pissed because the USC game is the same night as our game against the Knicks in NYC! I may have to call in sick!
Ditto about the Huskies. I've hated the Huskies since Billy Jo Hobert. When Slick Rick came and recruited a bunch of boneheads that was the final straw. Jerramy Stevens was such a bitch! That and their fans live vicariously through what they did almost 20 years ago.
I have a Ricky Whittle jersey somewhere... it's from back when they sold the jerseys at Target. It's some lowgrade shit, but I still love it. I think my prized possession is a home Saladin McCullough jersey. The shoulders are awesome. I'll have to take a pic of it sometime.
Whittle was more of the Akili Smith era if I remember correctly. Saladin was part of the now defunct XFL. At the time he was the best RB that had ever played for the Ducks.
Nope. Whittle went to the Rose Bowl with Graziani. Akili's running back was Saladin and his top receiver was Patrick Johnson.
My Duck jerseys are: Ricky Whittle #14 away Damon Griffin #5 home Saladin McCullough #28 home Onterio Smith #2 home Oh... and here's another gem Oh, I forgot one! Sammie Parker #1 home
Just read this from Costs and it hit me, Its true... other than New Mexico and PSU, The Ducks have yet to play a full game against other opposition. Whether it be starting out slow (in most cases) or having some trouble against ASU towards the end. Pretty cool how they reached #1 with that in mind.
