"The New Orleans Hornets lost their third consecutive preseason game 96-91 to the Memphis Grizzlies Monday night at the FedEx Forum despite 19 points from forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu. The Grizzlies outscored the Hornets 29-17 in the fourth quarter to clinch their victory. Earlier Monday, the Hornets completed a trade to acquire point guard Curtis Jerrells from the San Antonio Spurs and released reserves Mustafa Shakur and Darryl Watkins and entered Monday night's preseason game with 16 players on their roster. Jerrells played eight minutes but went scoreless. Jerrells has entered the game. He missed three of his first four shots. The Grizzlies have taken an 81-78 lead with 6:36 remaining.
