All this talk about Brandon doggin' it, cruisin' whatever term you want to use. Maybe he's not fully recovered from surgery and nobody wants to talk about it. No games have been broadcasted for us to see how healthy he really is! See I can do this too! That conspiracy thread was so easy to create!
My inside sources tell me that Brandon will not be back until December - and that's why the Blazers are keeping Patty around - with him, Camby, Joel and Greg out - they are gonna get an injury exception.
I'd suggest we trade Roy in a deal to get Chris Paul, but at this point, the Hornets would probably rather have Matthews. He hasn't yet fallen into bad habits.
It's clear that the guy occupying the No. 7 jersey is an imposter. I'm pretty sure that if you play the Blazers' theme music backwards it says, "Brandon's dead. Brandon's dead."
I wondered at the GSW game; early on, Roy's shot had been so smooth, the Warriors fans around me were commenting on his sweet shot. In the 3rd quarter everything was short, he missed free throws and was slow on defense. He appeared to be favoring his knee. It was a late preseason game on the road and probably the only ones who cared were the scrubs trying to be 12th man, but it looked to me like stamina, which supposedly Roy was working on during off-season, was an area of concern. Of course, this is based on a fan's view from Row 20. I claim no inside information.
Plus, Matthews has yet to show he is a poor leader who sets a bad example for lesser players, and so far as I know, Matthews doesn't Hate Ammmmuurrrriiiicccccaaa like Roy does. Seems like a no-brainer for New Orleans.
I'm far from Roy hater, but if he's not healthy reduce his minutes and give them to someone else that IS healthy. Go Blazers
Vince Carter had a serious knee type injury way back when. When he came back, he wasn't nearly as aggressive and became a lot more of an outside shot type player. It wouldn't surprise me if many guys who get injured like this don't come back and have some fear of reinjury, so they go 90% instead of 100%. Plus, he probably needed the surgery but played in the playoffs, perhaps making it worse.
