Until he's on our team, and you'd whine about him.

Mixum, if we started Howard, Roy, Paul, LA and James you'd still find something to whine about.

It depends on the cost of acquisition, of course. I'm not a huge Varejao fan, but he'd be a good guy to have as a gap-filler and would be a very good add as far as quality big guy depth goes.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I think Varejao is a very good player. It all depends on what he costs. Having him on the bench behind Aldridge (and even Oden, for spot minutes) long-term would be nice.

I have been saying all the Blazers need to grow out big Fro's like Varejo for a long time now. He draws more offensive fouls due to the accentuation of contact by his hair than any other player I know of.

Varejo is all about hustle, rebounding. He also has a ton of playoff experience. I would dig that move.

I would love to add him depending on cost of course... Would Rudy and Bayless get it done?

Okay, I admit it, I am Rich Cho. I kind of gave it away talking about Hill and Oberto right before the team pursued them, and now it's just obvious.

Of course, I try to throw up a smokescreen talking about a bazillion players the team doesn't pursue, but it's still pretty transparent.

Well I'd rather get Dwight Howard, but that'll do.

Don't know why Cleveland would trade him for guards though, they don't exactly have a wealth of bigmen themselves...

Fuck it, while they are dealing with Cleveland deal Miller for Mo Pete while we are at it.

Varejao is a good player and would be a pretty good fit as well but I doubt he goes anywhere.

I would absolutely love to get ahold of Raggedy Andy, I know this because he was one of the most infuriating players to watch play against the Blazers the past couple of years. Yes, he's a flopper, but the guy hustles, he defends and rebounds pretty well.

I'm thinking Joel, Andre, Bayless and maybe some Eurostash rights or a future first for He and Mo Williams would be fair.

Joel would probably have to be one of the guys sent along.

That actually sounds somewhat fair, but I don't want Mo Williams. They can have Joel and any two of Rudy, Armon Johnson and Elliott Williams, plus Freeland or Claver.

Miller, Bayless, Pendergraph and rights to Claver (or Freeland or Koponen)

    for

    Varejao and Gibson

Gibson is a career 42% 3-point shooter (47.6% last year) could fill that Steve Blake role and Varejao would be a great banger coming off the bench.

With all the big man injuries, I'd rather trade Miller than Joel, and then fill that PG role with backcourt combinations of Roy\Matthews\Rudy\Gibson\Johnson....

    bleh.

I had the chance to follow his career closely when I lived in Cleveland, and am not enamored by his skills. Especially in this system where we don't feed the roller in Pick & Rolls, I don't see him being nearly as effective as he was with LeBron and Co. And his defense is nothing to write home about. As long as we get him for Joel (and maybe a future pick, I'm okay with it. If they want more, no thanks.)

Gibson blows. Most Cleveland fans would throw him away for a second round pick.
