Billups - Leader, runs your team. Hamilton - Younger, scores a lot, major part of offense. Prince - Very young, still developing, great defender. Rasheed - Great defender, spreads defense with shooting. Big Ben - Sets tone on defense, fan favorite. Who?
I'd say Rasheed. He is the oldest and he is making the most money. He is a good locker room influence, but doesn't make enough bang-for-the-buck. Way too many T's also. That's a good topic, pretty interesting to think about.
I would get rid of Ben. Sheed and Prince could defend the inside. Ben is a liability offensively, and the game today is an offensive one. The Pistons lack the player that can go out and drop 40 on any given night, so it should be more important that all of the players can score the ball.
It would have to be sheed. you can get the most in return for him and you cant get rid of Prince since he wil be an all star for the next 5-7 years. You dont ever trade away a top 3 point gaurd. Rip would be the next on my list to go. The only reason i wouldnt get rid of Ben is that you dont get rid of a 4 time DPOY, face of the franchise and the hardest worker in the NBA. He may not be as effective anymore but he can still ball and if you would use your bench more he would be perfectly fine.
Im not a Piston fan, but if I was Joe Dumars Id say Sheed. He is the oldest one, he doesnt go inside as much as he can. He shoots the jumper a little too much, he gets a lot of technical fouls called on him, he isnt a great rebounder anymore, he isnt playing very well in these playoffs. And plus, all the other starters are very valuable. And the Pistons 6th Man (McDyess) could do a good job replacing Sheed for the time being.
I would get rid of Sheed for the following reasons.<ul>[*]Hes getting old but still has one of the biggest contracts on the team [*]He gets to many technicals [*] His scoring and rebounding aren't as good as they used to be [*] Theres a lot of good young power fowards in the league to replace him[/list]
I would definetely have to go with Rasheed Wallace - He hasn't been playing well at all during the playoffs and has showed signs of not trying throughout this series especially. - His game is slowly deteriorating every day. - Getting rid of him wouldn't pose much of a lineup problem for the Pistons, if they get rid of Ben Wallace they would have to put in Kelvin Cato and that would not be good. - He doesn't have the best attitude.

He is a difference maker.</div>Would you suggest anyone else Balla?Rasheed is aging, and he hasnt done much for them in these playoffs. He is probably only good for another year before all he will do is shoot. I think the Pistons need to get rid of them well they can, and get some good players in return.
Ben is a week older than Sheed. McDyess is 3 days older than Ben, and 10 than Sheed.Just found that out from Ripcity32.But, Ben is a difference maker too. You could say that about the whole lineup.Tony, who do you say?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pistonfan11 @ Jun 3 2006, 02:20 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I don't know who I would get rid of. Depends on who we would get in return.</div>This isn't a question of who we would get in return. Well I think you have to go with Rasheed. He is quite a character and I would hate to see anyone go but you got to go with this guy. He is a streaky shooter, when it's on, 'it's on and when it's off, it's off. As everyone said he's aging as is our whole frontcourt. Plus you can't go with Chauncey, our MVP, Rip, younger and our leading scorer, Tayshaun, our future, Ben, defensive powerhouse but lacks offense. So you got to go with Rasheed.
Obviously its between the Wallaces. I know we are not talking about what we could get in return but I don't think we could get the same value Sheed gives to this team in return. I know everyone is saying he didn't play well in the playoffs but I he wasn't 100% either, he had that bad ankle sprain. Yeah he gets a lot of T's and appears to have a bad attitude but that drives him. If he gets like that you know he is there ready to play but also can be a problemBen your not going to get the defensive intensity in return. The leader of the team. I think 4 time DPOY says it all but he has done poorly when it comes to shooting FT. I think its a toss up though Sheed or Ben, as much as I would hate to see Ben go I think it would be easier to trade Ben. I think if his heart isn't 100% with Detroit and he isn't willing to sign a smaller contract then he wanted he may be gone as much as it would hurt us.
Well, I would get rid of Sheed for the way he performed this post-season, but thats it...I really would keep all of them. Ben Wallace Stays because he wants to play offense and If he gets that chance he will play better. Tayshaun stays because the guy improves each year, Rip and Chauncey are the best Backcourt in the L.
I would get rid of Ben or SheedThere is a chance Ben might leave this season anyway. His scoring is terrible and you can get another C who is good defensively and terrible offensivelySheed has a bad contract and played poorly in the playoffs this year. However, his shooting makes mismatches because most power forwards arent used to guarding players like Sheed. If I had to choose Id get rid of Ben
Ben is the anchor of their defense. If they lose Ben, their defense does go down alot. He anchors the defense, helps people out defensively. Why would they want to get rid of Ben?
His contract is expiring and he might not come back anyway, right now if u had to get rid of one, id get rid of him. If u got rid of someone else and he left in FA u would look stupid. If his contract wasnt expiring Id prolly get rid of Sheed
