<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (CB4AllStar @ Jun 3 2006, 08:00 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>No. When I watch him he ususally jacks up stupid shots instead of passing to his wide open teammates. He only really started passing in the playoffs when Phil Jackson told him too. He doesnt like to pass the ball at all. When he does though, he gets his teammates involved more and they play an all around better game. We saw that in the first 4 games of the Lakers-Suns series. Unfortunately, he is usally more concerned about upping his ppg average than getting his teammates involved. In pre season, people thought Steve Nash had a horrible supporting cast. Look at what he has done. He has made all of his guards better shooters by finding them open looks and most of them better players just by passing the ball. No one expected them to do well offesnively with the losses to Amare, JJ, Q rich and Kurt Thomas mid season. Look at what they have done. They're the #1 offense in the League. Another example is the Cavs. The only consistant scorer on that team is Big Z, and even he gets slowed down quite a few times offensively. He still passes the ball, gets his teammates points and they do well for themselves. Kobe can still work with a team like that. They actually have talent in guys like Smush, Luke Walton, Kwame and Chris Mihm. You saw what they did in the playoffs when Kobe passed. When Kobe didnt pass in the reg. season none of them got into synche and the only consistent player on that team was Kobe. C'man man. Just admit that Kobe is usually a ball hog. He doesnt have to shoot 30 times a game. Again, Ill go back to the Lakers-Suns series. They were playing extraordinarilly well and leading a #2 seed in the West 3 games to 1. Kobe only scored 20 points a game, but all of his teammates had good games as well, and they played better than usual like that. What do you have to say to that? Yeah, its not that big of a deal because the Lakers crewed up and ended up losing the series. The Lakers ended up a dismal 7th seed, and they left in the 1st round. That isnt something a goat would do. Look at Lebron. He almost pushed his team past the #1 basketball team in the world, the Pistons, when all of his players were scoring 8 ppg and missing wide open shots. The point is, Kobe left in the 1st round, so it is not that big of a deal anyway. If the Lakers were still around, it would be a different story and I would be prasing Kobe for leading his team that deep into the playoffs.Yes those buzzer beaters were great. No one can take those away from him. But he wasnt there when his team needed him most to win the series was he? People dont care about the buzzer beaters, if they didnt even mean a series win. Big deal. He scored 1 point in the 2nd half of a must win game. Some GOAT there.. <_<Again, people would of cared if it was to win the series, or if it helped the Lakers win the series. The truth is, it didnt do sh*t for them, did it? So no one really cares. Its a huge feat that means nothing. Again, who cares? It didnt win them the series, so it is obviously not that important for their team.Thankyou very much, CB4Allstar...</div>Honestly i'm going to sign a petition to ban you from posting about the lakers. You do know that Phil jackson said kobe would have to take most of the offensive game onto his shoulders untill he's teamates got into it? I doubt you knew that.Did you watch games in December when Sasha was pratically missing open 3's? Odom in some games had more games than turnovers? I guess that's kobe's fault also for not making them better by giving them open shots and then helping them make it I have no idea why you hate Kobe/Lakers so much and it hasn't surfaced latley. Considering this laker team on paper isn't a 40 win team, i would expect people to give props to the lakers for taking the suns to a 7 game series. And oh, Kobe is a ball hog. MJ was also. Lebron in game 6 or 7 kept on ballhogging, wasting the time clock.

I doubt Phil Jackson said that Kobe had to shoot double teamed fade away 30 footers instead of passing to an open guy. Phil Jackson didnt stop Kobe from sharing the ball. Look at what Lebron's doing. He is still scoring 32 points a game and carrying the team on his shoulders, yet he is still passing the ball and getting his guys looks. No, Im sorry I havnt seen every Laker game. I honestly dont care if Sasha was on a cold streak for a while. I specified others than Sasha. Look at Lamar, he is All Star calibur. When Lamar passes it to Kobe for an iso, Kobe rarely gives it back to Lamar for him to do what he does best. Shoot the ball, drive inside and score points. When Im watching Kobe, he takes too long to give the players the ball, so they really have nothing to do with it once they get it. Something like that is not really called being a good passer. Kobe as a star players' job is to find his players open looks. I am aware that his players miss some of 'em. Thats life, the Cavs players miss alot of Lebrons passes. But Kobe doesnt give the ball to them nearly as much as he could. And when he started doing that (The Playoffs) look what happened.I dont neccisarilly hate the Lakers, or Kobe. I just find it fun to debate against Kobe. And plus, all the Kobe homers do get on my nerves. I do give props to Kobes for securing a 3-1 lead. However, I dont give props to Kobe for blowing that series lead, and coming up with squat in Game 7.MJ was sometimes a ball hog, but he led his team to 7 championships, and still did fine sharing the ball with Pippen, Horace Grant, Kerr and others. He was a ball hog at times, but he was truly great and he won them 6 championships, so people often overlook that.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BALLAHOLLIC @ Jun 2 2006, 09:20 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>CB, Your argument is so flawed I could correct you all day. Also Zards, you're right we don't know, they could've become better and not have fallen from a 3-1 lead just because one player fell into a slump. I don't care if he cheated on his wife lol, I just wish he'd be more cooperative with his team. Also Ballah I've seen a Lakers game, he has a supporting cast in Kwame Brown and Lamar Odom, yet they don't get the ball that much.</div>mCgrady is also a ballhogalot of people will hate on me for saying this butkobe=tmackobe has the edge tho

NOBODY thinks that Steve Nash's supporting cast is bad. I guarantee most of those guys could do nearly just as good on any other team. And you cant compare the Cavs and the Pistons series to the lakers and suns because they basically did the same thing in the playoffs this year. They played the wizards in the first round and they arent any good. They took the Pistons to 7 and the Lakers took the Suns to 7. Same exact thing. Lebron has a better supporting cast than Kobe does and everybody knows it. Also, when Kobe tried to get his players involved in the last game, they missed every single look that they had. You blame him for being selfish yet you say he wasnt there to score for his team in the last game. If you are going to hate on Kobe, where was Lebron in the 2nd half of their game 7 with the pistons? o yeah, he wasnt there. He forced just as many shots as Kobe does yet he doesnt get blamed for it. And what do you mean Kobe's game winners didnt mean anything? The lakers wouldnt have been in a game 7 with a chance to beat a very good suns team if he didnt win that game for them. You act like what Kobe did for the Lakers this year was nothing....and it was actually very impressive. He led his team to a 7 game series with a team that is still contending for the championship and u are out here hating on this guy. I would like to see any guard in the league take the lakers roster and beat the Phoenix Suns. And if you are going to give so much credit to the Lakers supporting cast for the wins in 3 of the first 4 games, where were they in the rest? They played a few good games, big woop. The fact of the matter is, Kobe is the best player in the league, and nobody can disrespect him for what he does for the game.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (CB4AllStar @ Jun 2 2006, 09:07 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Thats why it took you so much time to reply. Did you see Lamar odom in late novermber when he had 3 one night and next had 7? Or what about the game where he had 2 points in a loss to rockets? Or what about the night 2 point against GS? Or what about in 2 consecutive games, Odom combined for 18 points? Laamr Odom? Are you freaking me, he was absolutely horrible earlier on in the season.Did you even know why Lamar was not agressive? It was not because of kobe, it was because of phil. Phil jackson told odom to left the offense come to him and some time in february he told odom to forget that and start being much more agressive. And guess what happened? Lamar played like a beast.Next time, don't come up with useless posts which prove that you know nothing about the lakers. I've had it with you and false statements which try to prove something which isn't there.Atleast when you want to hate on a player, do it with some intelligence. Base you're bias on something like i do with Shaq. Claiming that lamar odom was worth passing to in November and december is beyone belief.
Yeah, I'm jealous of Kobe fans. They don't have to waste their time watch the playoffs. I could be doing something more productive...
