Because of a recent injury I won't be able to go to the opening season game Tuesday. We always go to the opener because they give away free stuff and the players when intro come down through the crowd, over all it's just a really fun game to go to. I wanted to try, but Karla put her foot down and said sell the tickets! Anyway, I email a fellow Blazers fan, DowntownVinnie a regular poster at Barrett's blog, and told him how disappointed I was to miss the opener and to my surprise he made a song to try and cheer me up. I thought it was pretty cool!
That is pretty cool! Doesn't make up for missing the game, but the thought was nice. Only in Portland. Good Comcast reference there - but he needs to try and work in ATDHE.net.
Get well, Michael. My youngest daughter still remembers going to the Pacer game last year in your kid-friendly seats!
I will be bringing a bag to grab as much swag as possible for you Mike. Thanks again for the tickets.
Shall we cry on each others' shoulders? I ordered a new TV last week. The one I had I bought used just before moving to California - in 1990. I got my $35 worth but it was dying. Yesterday just when the baseball game came on I heard a "pop" then smelled fried electronics. It is finally totally dead. The new TV won't arrive until next week and the old one is dead so even though I have NBA League Pass I won't be able to watch the game Tuesday. I always loved going to games in Sacramento but due to recent health issues can no longer do long drives, especially at night. I may try to bribe a Bay Blazers fan - provide the ride & I'll buy the tix. Oh man, mgb, aren't we a decrepit pair? Go Blazers.
