I thought I read somewhere that today was the final day to finalize the roster. 2pm sounds about right. If so, I guess we will know soon what the Blazers are going to do.
My money is on him being waived. I get the feeling Cho would like the roster flexibility, not to mention that Patty basically costs us 2 millon dollars due to tax considerations.
And he made it! @pdxtraibazers Sucks to see Pendy gone, though. Wonder who'll pick up the pregame pump up job.
Little surprised. Good for Patty though, he won't play a single minute except maybe in Idaho, but there are worse things you could do with your last roster spot I guess.
It made no sense to waive Pendy otherwise. Pendy's salary is already in, they gained nothing from waiving him if they did not want to pick up Patty. It was pretty much written in stone the moment they traded JB after waiving Pendy. When is Argentinian greasy-hair-guy getting in town? (and it only makes sense to call him that in a post discussing Crabby Patty).
Well, I guess Patty can unclench now: http://twitter.com/Patty_Mills He may be sore for a week with that kind of tension.
What's the kids name that we had for a while then to LA and then to Huston that torched us in the playoffs? Anyway that is what I think Paddy can do for us maybe. He can shoot and not bad to have on the end of the bench.
Well if it is any consolation, Portland is one of about 20 teams that have cut Von Wafer at one point or another. IMO in order for your team to be able to deal with players like that you have to rely on strong team leadership to deal with the personality. Portland's team leaders do not have that personality. In places like Boston, they do, and even then he might not work out.
Nice to see Patty's a Duck fan. I remember they were recruiting him hard before he signed with St. Mary's. Then he went off on them for 30 something his sophmore year at the RG.
Yeah apparently he got into it with Delonte West a little bit in practice and then went off on the beat reporter when the guy wrote that "Crazy Pills" was torching him.
I guess West followed Wafer into the locker room and threw the first punch. Then a wrestling match ensued.
