I will take Ms. Keeton and her inability to understand the discrepancy between her views and the job requirement for $300, Alex.
I almost put coaching staff, but I went with "draft picks". I didn't think we'd jump to get Babbitt, Elliot was good value with our pick (but I thought a bit superfluous with our 4 SGs already) and paying 2M to move up 10 spots for Armon was odd to me. But it looks as if it might work out some. Still, most surprising. The rest we knew on the last day of the season.
Nothing more surprising than Oden having nine months of healing to find out he's now got tendonitis. I mean he had fluke after fluke, and now something legit? It just can't be.
The Martell trade caught me very off-guard...I'm still really suspicious that Babbitt will be more useful than Martell
If you really knew me, you wouldn't be surprised at all. PS: Gym Rat just e-mailed me and I'm planning to fly out to Bristol for the "full" ESPN tour. That should be fun.
as for the poll, drafting bunch of rookies was Kevin's MO, Oden being hurt, *yawn*, KP was hanging by his fingernails for months, Martell being traded was sensible, but damn, I still can't believe the Matthews signing. It looks like it might work out, but I still can't get over how much they gave a guy coming off his rookie year 13 months after he went undrafted.
KP getting fired was still kind of a shock, even though we knew it was coming. I just never thought they'd actually do it.
Firing KP, claiming they were looking for a guy with a ton of experience building a contender, then hiring a guy with almost none (Cho) was the most surprising/depressing part of the off season. Cho hasn't done anything to get the bad taste out of my mouth....yet. He still has time.
