Philadelphia 76ers Team Needs Rivals.comDraft picks: No. 13Depth chart PG: Allen Iverson / Kevin OllieSG: Kyle Korver / Willie Green* / Louis WilliamsSF: Andre Iguodala / John Salmons* / Matt Barnes* PF: Chris Webber / Shavlik Randolph* / Michael Bradley*C: Samuel Dalembert / Steven Hunter *Potential free agentCould use help at: Point Guard, Center, Power Forward, DepthBottom line: Despite the lack of success this past season, the 76ers are in a fairly good position to rebuild. At this stage in Allen Iverson?s career it makes sense for him and the team to part ways. The same goes for Chris Webber. Both could fetch some talent and draft picks. Iguodala, Korver and Delambert serve as a solid nucleus. Shavlik Randolph and Louis Williams are projects with tremendous potential. What the 76ers need are assets. Acquiring more young talent and more manageable contracts is the key for Philly. Draft outlook: If the 76ers look to replace Iverson, Quincy Douby is a great place to start. Douby is a combo guard who has a knack for scoring but the heart and pride to play defense. Douby could slide right into the void left by Iverson. Douby?s skills and tenacity could help him strike a nice balance with young teammates. A versatile player like Ronnie Brewer could contribute time at all three backcourt positions if the roster is unchanged. Philly could go the other way and draft one of the many promising big men in the draft. Hilton Armstrong could complement Dalembert on the offensive end. Though his perimeter defense might suffer at the four, Armstrong?s solid face-up shot would allow Dalembert to use his length and quickness to lethal effect in single coverage down low. Both players are excellent shot blockers which would allow Iguodala to play tight on his man while also helping to negate some of the drives that Korver gives up. Cedric Simmons and Patrick O?Bryant are two long-term projects to look at. If Shelden Williams fell to them, the Sixers would likely snatch him right up.I just thought that it was an interesting article.
