Couldn't post much while watching the game, to nervous, but let me just say Armon and Wes are scrappy as fuck, those guys are just nonstop energy.

Roy's jumper looked so good, his time this offseason working on catching and shooting paid off whether he wants t ball or not. And Batum was pretty great out there too, smooth jumper and crashing the glass like mad.

If anything, that game confirmed my fears that McMillan holds this team back.
Absymal offense with players standing around, and the defense wasn't that great despite the 'emphasis' put on it in the pre-season.

Nate should have been shown the door with the other coaches in the off-season.

On a positive note, a win is a win, Armon looks like a keeper and, my man Batum is the real deal!

Just watching those two made me antsy and nervous. I can't imagine what it's like to play against those guys.

Whenever someone hits the deck I have an irrational fear that they've injured their knees.

    The Greg-Oden-Anxiety-Disorder in full effect.

Great win! Batum with the dagger in the end.

I'm lovin Wesley Matthews. He made Bayless redundant. The intensity of our 2nd unit will carry us in many games this year. Here's hopin Joel & Greg come back ready to rock in December. That will cure a lot of ills that we had this game.

I counted at least four possessions where every player on the court touched the ball. Watch that, and then watch what Phoenix did on offense.

    Portland 31 assists
    Phoenix 15 assists

Are you being serious, or was your post for laughs?

Given, there was more movement than there has been the last few years.
So, yes the offense has improved, but then again it was atrocious to begin with.

Let's just say I'm not a big fan of the McMillan offense.

Well it's good to see we're bitching about the offense after they scored 106 points won by 14 and actually played good team and man defense in the 4th quarter. The team might not be in mid-season form, but we haven't missed a beat.

This forum takes the preseason seriously when getting in shape to bitch during the regular season though.

Despite only having 1 true center play significant minutes, we rebounded well & took care of business. Looking at the rebounding differential you knew it would only be a matter of time before the pulled away....oh wait, I mean...uh, LAMARCUS WHERE WERE YOU EARLY IN THE GAME! WE SHOULD HAVE WON BY 30!

Anyone know why Elliot Williams didn't even dress?

Only 12 can dress, right? Not sure if that's why, though.

Because you can only dress so many players, and we've got so many SGs it makes no sense to have him on the deep bench waiting for garbage time.

Nothing wrong with the offense when the PG is playing well. (as with most teams) When Miller looks good the blazers look good. When Blake played well the Blazers played well. Nothing wrong with the movement. They had some moments when they struggled, but so have the Lakers and Heat tonight. I will say I am not impressed with the Rudy/Roy PG experiment so far. Armon may be getting more than 10 minutes a game.

I love Wesley Matthews. Guys like him will get on the floor by sheer effort alone. He's amazing.

Yup. I love the intensity he brings to the floor. He's the anti-Brandon & is aggressive to a fault. I think having Roy-Matthews-Batum-Aldridge-Camby playing down the stretch is going to cause a lot of issues for the other team this year.

Let me just say a few things here....

    - thats not a good team.... its really upsetting the outplayed us for 2 and a half qtrs.

    - it was a nice comeback but the suns are a horrible defensive team... we should have scored 120

    - wesley is a great pickup. i liked the signing in July... love it now.

    - johnson played well but again.... let me see him do that vs good teams and good backup pg's

    - LA is EXACTLY the same player as he was the last 2 years

    - Roy still seems like hes missing a step

    - Oden looked like he would rather be in jury duty then at that game.

    - Batum is nasty.

    - Camby is not gonna make it through November.... mark it down

    - and in closing.... I think the BLzers need to get wins in LA and NY if tehy wanna come out of the first five with a winning record. No way they beat the bulls or bucks.
