I think he's not considering it because Chauncey is getting older and he's not winning a ring with the Birdman and Kenyon! Oden, LA, Wesly, Andre, Batum is a much different thought! Course maybe playing with Amare and his two great knees is what he wants, who knows!

Miller had the ball. He did great finding the open Batum but the spacing was caused by the Suns focusing on Roy. Batum was just standing on the perimeter waiting for the ball. That 4th qrt was a great TEAM effort. To say otherwise means you weren't understanding what you were watching.

Didn't say it wasn't team, "YOU DID" said it wasn't just ROY! Perhaps comprehension is a two way street! HMMM?

Roy can be the trailer on the break (and he was a couple of times last night) so I'm not too worried about him "fitting in" with his teammates, the real question is whether or not we'll continue to see the kind of distribution or touches and movement we saw in the fourth quarter of last night's game or whether guys will stand around and stagnate while Roy works from the high pick and roll.

    Much ado about nothing.

It's too bad it only matters what Anthony thinks.

Melo is out of the question. He is not turning down his 65mil extension to go to the Blazers, he is doing it to go to a super-market like NY or Chicago.

As far as Roy, he is an excellent player and brings a lot in his style that keeps the team together to pull out close victories. I am not completely against trading him, but it would have to be for a very select few players, and I don't even think Melo makes the grade in my eyes. Melo is excellent at what he does, but he really does not have a lot of layers to his game. Players I would trade Roy for are of course Bron, Howard and Durant, but that's completely unrealistic. Players that would be more realistic but still unlikely at the moment are Deron Williams, Chris Paul, Wade, and perhaps a couple others. If Deron Williams ever wants out of the Jazz, I hope the Blazers can snag him, and use Roy if needed.

I would agree Nik. Roy will be just fine as a trailer if we can push it more. Plus you just don't trade your best player because your young bench players can run. The last 5 minutes of the 4th is still huge in most games. The running game tends to stop, and stars like Roy tend to shine.

The ball movement actually seemed really good last night, as evidenced by a lot of assists and points. I don't think there was a lack of energy or dynamicism. The team's defense was the only problem last night.

Let's see. Carmelo Anthony wants to go back east after this season, and Brandon Roy was double-teamed all night and still ended up with 24 points and 6 assist. Why would anybody make that trade?

Also, is this thread a joke? How is Roy needed to be moved the "elephant in the room". It seems more like the mouse in the corner compared to the other questions surrounding this season.

Even if Roy WAS the problem... why Anthony?

Batum's looking very very good. I'd rather move Roy for a PG.

But... Roy's not the problem. He's not A problem. He's our best player and he's improving and I am confident he can help us win championships if other things go well...

We average what... 10 fast break points a game? (maybe less) I agree fast breaks are not his strongest point... but it isn't like he can't run a break... nor does he need to get 5 feet ahead of someone to get his shot off.

Exactly... at least compare Roy with someone who plays the same position. Roy is the best kind of all-star we could have... team centered, hard working, a leader and a quality person off the court. Anthony is talented... but does he make the other players around him better? Not really. He's the typical NBA dick... who gets most of his points at the foul line because he whines more than my 2-year old.

Well.... let's just see as the season continues if the offense becomes stagnant the more ROY is in control of it, fair enough?

If so will all of you conceed it's his tempo, not his skill that is ultimately causing the lack of fluidity on the court for our blazers? That's all I'm asking.....

That was the point of this thread...

Wait...what? You keep contradicting yourself. So Melo will go to whoever can pay him the most, except he won't?
