So, I watch all the games from the live streams on the internet. And it's a good picture but it's really small, about 3.5 inches by 5 inches and if i make it full screen it really loses focus. So is there some way to watch it full screen either on my computer (1600x900 resolution) or by hooking up to my TV?
Does Broadband League Pass have the free first few weeks going again this year? Last year the stream during that free period was pretty choppy (not sure why, I have a good connection and a newish computer), so I wanted to try it out again before I purchased it.
thanks, i have tried it, for some reason also have choppy reception, although i don't have that problem with free feeds. I just now signed up for free trial over there until November 1, see how that works. Anybody know anything about Boxee or Roku; i can't quite understand what they do?
The year before last I was able to use my ps3 to watch broadband games but last year they changed the flash player and it wouldn't work. I'll give you an update come Tuesday to see if any of the ps3 updates have changed anything.
I usually hook my laptop up to my LCD TV and it looks OK. It really depends on the quality of the stream. Most are pretty mediocre, but if you're sitting back a ways it's not too bad. There are some excellent quality streams out there, but they're few and far between. I remember asking the NBA about the online league pass and was told that it was subject to the same blackout rules as the TV broadcast league pass.
I tried this with a duck game this season, Justin.tv. It was horribly choppy. I will give it a shot for the blazers too. Keep us updated on what you find.
I haven't done much research into them, especially boxee since it's still on the horizion. However I understand them to be internet streamers for sights like hulu and amazon, but to the tv instead of pc. Now, boxee I *think* has a built in browser which should theoretically allow you to stream other sites as well. Also the new google tv (logitech Revue and the Sony) stuff might work with it's built in chrome browser. I'm contemplating giving one of these a shot myself.
With either a Roku or xBox360, you can stream ESPN3 thru PlayOn. It works OK, not great, but it does size it up to the full TV screen. ESPN3 has some NBA games, but not all.
Update, the ps3 isn't working with nba leaguepass broadband it appears to be the octoshape plug-in that's causing the problem.
