http://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/index.ssf/2010/10/trail_blazers_video_a_look_at.html First video we have of GO. He's lookin fluid.
I heard an interview of Quick (Lund) on friday where he said that even though he is doing those light drills, he is still not running and the scuttlebutt around the team is Oden will return late December. That seems overly cautious to me. If he is moving that well, why can't he start playing 10 min by the end of November? Joel at least is expected back in a couple weeks.
Maybe it's the mental aspect that's holding him up. Everyone keeps saying stuff about how it's hard to get that trust in the knee again.
If he's not running yet then he can't be in game shape, it looks like he's lost some weight overall but I'd rather see him come back in good condition instead of playing his way into shape. I'm still hoping for mid December but I'll be happy with late December, especially if we get Joel back sometime in the next 3 weeks or so.
Well maybe his knee tendinitis is severe enough that any strenuous exercise causes his knee to flare up. My guess is the issue isn't so much that he can look good for a day or two of practice and that he can't move, but that he can't move the day after.
I would just like to point out that this team has been overly careful and extremely cautious handling Greg Oden's injuries since day one, and where has it gotten them?
