This is when Josh Howard becomes very useful. When Dirk averages 30 a game in this series, we'll show Miami.</div>When Dwayne Wade rocks this series Miami wills how the Mavs....And no that won't stop Wade, Wade is arguabely the best paint player in the game today. If he wants to get past Howard and his long arms he can, sure you say he has athleticism but he can't always stay in front of someone with the speed and control that Wade has.
I'm cheering on the Heat for this one... not that I have anything against Dallas, but I enjoy watching Wade and Shaq play alley-oop basketball way more than Nowitzki shooting over people. Obviously there's really no one in Dallas that can stop the Diesel, but Diop and Dampier might be able to slow him down a bit. The Diesel averages over 29 points in his career games against Dallas. So for sure, Diesel will get his numbers, and so will Wade and Nowitzki. The only problem that Miami has is their defence. If they can play like they did against the Pistons, I'm sure they'll have a good chance of taking this home.

Why were the pistons having problems with the cavs? It's because detroit were just not the same team they were in January and february.
Exactly.. It was partly the Pistons beat themselves. I agree the Heat played great, but the Pistons werent trying that series on both ends..
people'll are talking about how they'll stop wade. HOW WILL THEY STOP DIRK? ANTIONE WALKER? HAH!it's mavs in 7. just think about it.
Dirk is not going to be guarded by Antoine, Antoine plays the 3 first of all. Dirk will be guarded by a mix of Posey/Udonis and possibly Anderson as well. Were going to have to stop 1 superstar while Dallas has to stop 2 of them. Also, who says were going to have to stop Howard? Hes been incosistent alot of the playoffs and in the series against Detroit we let Prince have his share of points and we still won.
Who says Dallas to stop them. As far as I'm concerned Mavs just need to make them work for their points and limit the others. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Hes been incosistent alot of the playoffs and in the series against Detroit we let Prince have his share of points and we still won.</div> Prince basically had no help though. Not one player on the Pistons have matched what Dirk has done in the playoffs this year. So your going to let Howard get his share, Dirk will still put up his 26+ along with that. So you can't bring up the Pistons and how you beat them. Especially since they played like crap throughout the entire playoffs. Mavs have done the opposite. It's going to be a tough series.
Even if we do let Howard get his points it matches up quite well don't you think? It will be Dirk and Shaq putting up big numbers as well as Wade and Howard. I'll also go ahead and say Miami steals game 1 from Dallas, the rest really helps our older veterans.

That's where limiting the others comes in play. We know those 4 will put up the majority of the points, it just comes down to who helps. I bet Miami does steal one, but it wouldn't surprize me to see Dallas steal one. I think these are the two best road teams in the NBA playoffs. Also, with the rarity of a away team winning all 3 at home going for us. I can see Dallas being able to steal one as well.
Why would Miami steal Game 1? They had the same amount of rest Dallas had just one day diffrence...Plus Dallas is at home.
Diesel is going to be well rested, which is a bad thing for Dallas. Along with Gary and Alonzo. Dallas has a younger team so the rest doesn't effect them as much as it effects us.
Yeah, the rest might affect the Heat differently as a whole, but it might also help out Josh Howard's "inconsistency" (even though he had more ppg last series than in previous series).Edit: I'm saying his ankle could heal by the way; I'm not being entirely sarcastic.
If Miami plans on putting Antoine Walker on Josh Howard than Howard will have Shaq like numbers. That is a mismatch at its worst. Walker is a liability in this series vs. Dallas.
Miami might steal game one?WHO the F**CK cares?Didn't both the Suns/Spurs take game one against Dallas?I really think Avery would like to win game 1, but I think he uses that game to play as good as he can but he uses game 1 to feel the other team out.And I still think the Spurs were a better team than the Heat, and winning that series in 7, in SA for that matter, says alot about the Mavs.Howard was inconsitant against SA, because the Spurs focused on shutting HIM down when they realized they couldn't stop Dirk...Maimi won't be able to do that, much like the Suns couldn't.
Heatfan your sooo dumb!Okay when J-Ho scores more than 20+ points the Mavs are undefeated so please let him get 20 points, we'll win And Dirk? You think Udonis Haslem/Posey/Anderson can guard Dirk?! Your out of your mind man, on Haslem he will drive on Posey and Anderson he can shoot or drive doesnt matter Dirk will score and the Mavs will win in 6
Predictions are against the law now, congrats. The Mavs might be undefeated in the regular season when he scores 20+, this is the finals now. You say no one can guard Dirk? Good luck on guarding Shaq and Wade, remember 2 superstars are better then one. No one is calling anyone dumb here, if you want to say stupid sh*t go to the playground, not here.
When Josh scores 20 or more in the playoffs and regular season the Mavs are undefeated smart assDiop/Dampier will give Shaq a helluva time and you know that, J-Ho and Griffin will do great on Wade just you wait.Shaq is scared of calling out Damp again like he did last Septemeber, he knows he wont have anything to back it up
Dampier and Diop giving Shaq problems, what a joke. The only thing they can give Shaq is fouls, if you honestly think Dampier will stop one of the most dominant players to play the game then you must be joking.Howard do a good job on Wade? You only have half a chance if Wade is sick. If your saying these people can guard Wade and Shaq then I guess Antoine will do an amazing job as well on Howard. What I really want to happen in this series is the games to go over 100, Heat are 37-6 when scoring over 100 points. Also, we ranked second in field goal percentage, which just adds to the fact Howard can't guard Wade. Why is everyone saying Dampier can do such a good job either, if your comparing them to a old Golden State against LA game then thats bad judegement. La won that game by 16 and Shaq still had 20 and 7. If your comparing by size, Shaq also had to go against Jason Collins who is only 10 pounds lighter then Dampier.
