Wade against Howard in the regular season16 points in the first game23 points in the secondI know its the regular season but it still means somthing, Howard gives Wade problems!!! Wade even said Howard is one of the only people who give me a hard time...BTW since you dont want to add the regular season stats where we owned you take out the stats about 2nd fielg goal percentage and 37-6 when scoring 100+ points, because if you are saying this Heat team is transformed YOU cant add anything in the reg. season into that mixx
I can agree with you there, he did say that. However, right now no one can guard Dirk and I don't see anyone guarding Wade either. No one has yet to contain Wade in the playoffs, 26 points 6 assists and 5 boards speak for themself. In reality, Mavericks only beat us once. Unless you want to count the game where we lost Shaq a win as well. Regular season is nothing, Wade has stepped his game up in the playoffs.
So has Dirk, Howard, Terry, Harris, and Diop. It'll be an interesting series but I see Wade having a hard time with Howard/Griffin on him and Shaq is always bothered by Damp/DiopMavs in 6 though I wouldnt be suprised if it went to 7
Mentally he does, he even admitted it on ESPN today. Damp has always gave him trouble throughout his career whether he was a Heat or Laker.
Has Wade had any legit perimeter defenders on him though in the playoffs? <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I don't see what proof anyone has that Shaq has a hard time with Dampier.</div> In the games, Shaq works to get his usual numbers, they don't come easy. There's no free baskets. I still don't get some, not just on this board who bring up how he played against Wallace. Wallace is a twig out there against Shaq, despite his DPOY, he has no body against Shaq and Shaq had his way with the Pistons bigs. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>In reality, Mavericks only beat us once. You can argue different teams. But to me it's the main guys Shaq/Wade, Mavs had basically the same team minus Fin. The key was Damp on Shaq, and we took both that season as well. But again regular season doesn't matter, and it's a new ballgame come Thrusday.
Look, I was reading the paper today, and Howard said he found a weakness with Dywane Wade, and I bet you all know what it is (including Heat fans)...SHOOTINGBy the way, people in DALLAS, READ THE DALLAS MORNING NEWS!! Go to Page 12A, it has Top 10 Reasons Why Dallas Deserves the Title. The Miami Herald promises to do one back to counter Dallas when the series switches back into Miami.ALSO, read 1A, I think, BECAUSEDIRK'S MENTOR SAYS DIRK IS IN NEARING THE FINAL STEPS IN HIS 7-STAGE TRAINING: SCORING AND DEFENDING AT ALL 5 POSITIONS
Woah I'm really frightened now, I doubt any of the players on each team read the papers in the playoffs. Howard found a weakness with Wade's shooting? He sure as hell better because I'm not sure you want Wade shooting 61% once again.Rok, come on we both know these teams were not the same last season, the only one on who stayed was Shaq and Wade the rest of the roster was entirely changed, I'm not sure why in the world are you counting wins from last season.
^But the point is the Mavs have beat them in every game since they aquired Shaq. Both wins this season were a blowout without Shaq, and a 10+ point win with Shaq in the lineup.
I already posted in another topic about this and said the Mavs are gonna win AND they are gonna take it in 6 games. The Mavs are more diverse then the Heat and can go off on the offensive end at any time. The Heat just can't keep with the Mavs fast pace play, shaq is getting old and hes putting up the worst numbers in his whole playoff career,Haslems choking right now since hes only a 3 year player and Wades basically is doing everything he can to lead this team to a title. The Mavs have Dirk who is playing like a monster, they got Jason Terry and Devin Harris as there point guards which is a strong point guard switch off. Both are great point guards and can both make jumpers and can both give this team a fast paced game. They also have avery Johnson,a great coach that will lead them to a title.Hes teaching this team how to play defense and hes making them better and better with this style of coaching. The Heat are gonna lose the series in 6 games unless Shaq dosen't step up and destroy there centers which will be hard with a tough center like dampier.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Marvinmartian @ Jun 7 2006, 12:03 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>^But the point is the Mavs have beat them in every game since they aquired Shaq. It doesn't speak anything at all. If you notice, Dallas is 2-2 against BOTH San Antonio and Phoenix. Did that slow them down at all in the playoffs? You can say the same thing for the Heat.
2-2 VS SAS 2-2 VS PHX get your facts right, and yes it does speak in volumes because that means he has a hard time against Dallas.
Regular season victories don't matter, they lost to the Clippers twice as well, that doesn't mean there a better team.
I don't see why regular season victories are being taken into account so much here, just look at Detroit, best record in the east and lost in the eastern conference finals. You don't play the same in the post season as you do in the playoffs for better or worse. So your saying Wade is 1-4 against Dallas, he still averaged 20 points against them this season so I didn't see the "problems" Howard gave him.In the game Shaq did play against Dallas this season, 23 points 8 boards. Yeah Dampier really did a great job on him that game.
2-2 get your facts straight<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Heatfan32 @ Jun 7 2006, 07:54 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>nvm</div>Ownage? hahaha to the max
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Saint Baller @ Jun 7 2006, 08:59 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Ownage? hahaha to the max </div>That belongs to you, lets see your arguements1. Howard does a good job on Wade in regular season- Wade averaged 20 points, the game he went 7-19 Shaq wasn't playing, when Shaq did play he went 6-13.2. Dampier gives Shaq trouble- 23 and 8 in the regular season.3. They beat them 2-0 in regular season, Detroit had the best record in the east and there not in the finals now. What about San Antonio, best record also I believe?4. No one can guard Dirk- No one can guard Shaq or Wade either.
Duncan and Parker averaged over 50 ppg, and it didn't matter. I am convinced that if Shaq and DWade don't average at least 50, the Heat won't even have a chance to see if it matters.
