I'm not talking NC game... I'm talking in a purely hypothetical matchup... (my attempt at avoiding a jinx) What team would you like to see the Ducks play outside of the PAC 10 this season? For me it's Alabama. I would love to see how well we defend Julio Jones and Mark Ingram. I think it would be an extremely fun game to watch, and I think it would do a lot to dispel the "weak PAC 10" image if the Ducks were able to knock them off. I think Auburn would be fun too, simply because Cam Newton is so good, but they'd be a distant second for me. Playing a team like TCU or BSU wouldn't benefit us at all. If we beat them, we were supposed to, if we lose to them, we look weak and they're the world beaters.
I kinda agree with HCP.. from a purely selfish stance I want the Ducks to lay 100 on BSU. They had a lot of time to prepare for a QB'less team in 08 and a new line and QB playing like crap in 09.

Two teams: 1. Auburn - I think they are either the best, or second best team in the nation 2. Boise State - mostly to shutup their fans who seem to have a problem being who they are. Why can't they act like TCU fans?
First, an SEC team. We beat them whenever we play them, but the national media still thinks we lose every game to them. Now we'll do it on a grander stage. Second, Cupcake State U. To be sure, and give them their props, BSU has beaten us twice in a row, but they're pretenders to a National Title and I think we should put them in their place. Afterall, they can't take a punch. [wink, wink]
Alabama after they beat Auburn & then beat whatever overrated team for the SEC championship. If 'Bama wins out, I think they get into the BCS Championship & leapfrog an undefeated TCU & Boise St.
SEC Champion. Undefeated Auburn preferably, but Alabama would be just as legitimate. Any other SEC team and people would say the SEC just had an off year. Boise State could leave us with an asterisk. SEC, because I have a lot of SEC fans for friends and I really just want them to shut up.
I'm not sure that could ever happen unfortunately... Seriously SEC people.. just because we have all our teeth out here, doesnt mean to cant play Football.
I think beating Alabama in the NC would make the Ducks the irrefutable #1 team in the country. Can they get there? We will see. Can they beat Alabama? I think so. Beating BSU wouldn't mean shit. It would shut up the Boise State fans, but the rest of the country would think it was a throw-away game.
