http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/11/01/AR2010110102898.html?hpid=topnews This woman isn't my favorite, but are the people at this channel so in the bag for Coons that they take her money but "forget" to run her ad, not once but twice?
The halloween political cartoon that showed her in a witches costume at someone's door saying "I'm you" was rather ammusing I thought. BTW... 30 minute ad? That is more like an infomercial. Why don't they just buy the station... oh wait... they already have one
Yeah, I wonder where she got the "infomercial" idea from? Probably from one of those teabagging Neocons. http://ipwner.net/ipwner/watch-obama-30-minute-ad-online-streaming-free-video
She paid. The station acknowledges payment and receiving the tape. The owner of the station has had to correct his version twice. Now, there's some imaginary 48 hour rule which hadn't existed or been enforced before.
I saw a woman in a witch costume last night with a sign "I am not Christine O'Donnell." Unrelated, but funny IMO. On the specific topic, if she actually paid and is being given the run-around, that's not right.
The TV just announced that they feel really bad about this and are going to give her a prime time spot Wednesday.
You are familiar with the policies of that TV station? I don't see where the owner of the station corrected his story. O'Donnell's people said the station forgot to air it. The executive producer gave one story (in the linked WP story, anyway), namely that they didn't give him the tape until Sunday. I don't know who is telling the truth here, station or campaign. Maybe neither. barfo
LOL! That's the day Republicans vote, right? Democrats on Tuesday, Republicans and Independents on Wednesday, at least that's what I was told.
CNN also has a story on it, as well as a number of blogs. The owner of the station has changed his story more than Tiger Woods.
Ah, ok. Haven't seen the other stories. I guess the station must have a pretty inflated view of their ability to influence the election, to even attempt something like that. barfo
The funny thing is, the owner of the station is now pissed at O'Donnell, and he says he voter for her in the primary. Now, he's not voting for her in the general. Perhaps it was passed on by the weekend programmer. The whole thing is weird because payment was made to a third party and the tape was supposedly dropped off at three different times. The real issue for O'Donnell is that she can't get press in New Castle County, which is only one of three counties, but has the vast majority of the population. She'll likely carry the other two counties and still lose by double digits.
She can't get press? Hell, she gets press in Oregon. Not perhaps the press she wants, but she's a big story. Wasn't it her debate w/ Coons that was carried nationally? Or am I confusing it with some other race? barfo
Getting national press and getting in the Philly market are two different things. Most people in Oregon are a lot less likely to watch CSPAN, FOX, CNN or MSNBC than they are to watch KATU, KOIN, KGW or KPTV.
