Maybe it's time to give JJ a shot. Play him and Deng together this game. Deng should be guarding Roy and playing SF on offense. JJ should be guarding Batum and playing SG on offense. The match ups are really right to play them together.
What you're saying is that we are putting ourselves in a hole by starting Bogans and or Brewer. Agreed. Not sure JJ is the solution, but let's see. He sure was against Detroit.
The alternatives are to play Bogans on Batum (Deng on Roy) or Bogans on Roy. Not sure Bogans wins that match up on either end.
I have no doubt Deng can stay with Roy. He stuck with Ben Gordon like glue, and Gordon's a lot quicker than Roy. Deng's also tall enough to bother Roy's shot a bit.
