I don't want this to be true. I want EA to push THQ and for both games to continue on and get better and better. However it seems EA Sports MMA has fallen out of the gate. Recently released sales figures (vgchartz) put the combined sales totals for EA Sports MMA at under 100,000 copies domestic and international combined for both PS3 and Xbox 360. UFC Undisputed 2009 sold over 1,000,000 units and 2010 has sold over 700,000 Rumour is that EA Sports want to alternate each year between Fight Night and MMA, so the next installment of MMA wouldn't come out until 2012. I hope they stick with it.
That is what happens when you try to sell an MMA game with fighters that only die hard fans would know of.
^ Some media analysts believe that it isn't MMA that is popular but rather the UFC brand, so that might have something to do with it.
