If you would have watched the game yesterday, you would have noticed that Shaq was double teamed and sometimes even triple teamed pretty much the entire game. Lots of times, even before he touched the ball, he was double teamed just tryingto deny him the ball. If the ball was on the same side as Shaq, the defender of that person with the ball would drop back in front of Shaq making it hard for any entry passes to Shaq. Teams did used to double team Shaq, but they used to double team him when he got the ball, not before he got the ball like they was doing last night. With the Lakers a few years ago, players hit their open shots and layups. Last night no one around him was hitting, so they didn't even worry about other players, they double teamed Shaq before he got the ball.Shaq isn't his former self like you said, back in 2001 and 2002 Shaq would have bullied both of those two around at the same time. Shaq is older now though, his game would be on the decline at this stage in his career, and Seriously, no one else in the league could have played well with the way they was guarding Shaq last night.

Yeah, the heat need some shooters who can consistently hit their permiter shots. As you said, if anyone dared to double or triple Shaq in La, Derek or horry or Rice would destroy them from the arc. Dwayne needs to get his shooting game on like has during the playoffs. During the playoffs he was able to hit those shots but now it's deserted him. I still think if you threw prime Shaq onto this heat team he'd still dominate all these double and triples. The old Shaq got to the line and in some games shot very well from the line. Now, he can't make one for his life. And i was amazed at what dallas was doing from the 1st quarter and what it brought. This stragety is beating the heat and Pat riley needs to make adjustments because there not going to win from the perimeter. A new gameplan is needed.I feel sorry for shaq, he's probably thinking misses Derek fisher [IMG]

I've realized two things:A) Dallas is a great defensive team. They have found a way to cover Shaq in a way he doesn't get the ball. He might have gotten it 20 times in the whole of the last game, probably less.[IMG] Anyone who said Miami was oging to win (Myself included) is downright retarded. Dallas is so much better, it's scary. They are deeper, better shooters, tougher inside, and straight up more talented. Plus they are smarter and mroe unselfish...It's official, myself as well as any other person to pick Miami to win is stupid, and should go outside right now and do suicides until they die. Pat riley will come out with an adjustment and i expect the heat to win the next 2 out of 3 then dallas finishing at home

[IMG] You said you expect Dallas to win, i do too. But from what i got from you're post it sounded like you thought the series was over. And it isn't. And i wouldn't be suprised if the heat come back to win.

You always want to support your home team and have faith, I still believe we can win this series as stupid as that sounds right now. Shaq shoots 70% at home, maybe that will boost his confidence up a bit and he might actually score a few from the free-throw line. Also, I expect Wade to break out, he needs to rest up so that he can be ready for game 3. I also admit I underrated Dallas on defense, they really proved me wrong there  . Anyway we also need to fix up our bench, Stackhouse alone is better then our entire bench put together.

A joke? I guess some people don't have humor. Dampier though does a great job on Shaq so it is partially true.

I fully expect the Heat to win 2 of the 3 games in Miami...but not all three...but then the Mavs will win at Home, finally.

I thought it was so outrageous that people would see the joke in it without a smiley. I guess I'll do that next time. Anyways it's the scheme that Avery Johnson made along with Diop and Dampier that has contained Shaq to this point. Double teaming Shaq with Nowitzki makes it hard for him to find the open player since Nowitzki is 7 feet and Dallas is so lively with the other players that they do a good job guarding 4 players with 3 players.

That would be pretty funny, I don't think Dampier should go running his mouth when in there previous meetings Shaq put up good numbers against him, thats not even counting his Laker days. Game 3 is tonight, if would really help if we win, if we lose it's completely over no matter what happens.

I think we can. As I said, I think Shaq is coming back with a real vegance after that embarassment. No way he or Wade lets that happen again, especially at home.
