Don't get me wrong - I like almost all cars - and I can see why people like cars with bigger engines and more power, or I can understand the need/desire for easier driving - I just do not find small, light-weight, low-power cars undesirable (the entire gay moniker really does not make sense when it comes to cars) - I actually find small, light-weight, low-power cars with a good chassis and communicative steering more fun to drive because I enjoy the challenge of driving them fast. I find more satisfaction from driving a car at close to the edge of what it can do, with most modern, high-powered cars with wide tires - you can't ever come close to this limit unless you are on a race track - so, for street driving, my antique 1967 Alfa Romeo GT Jr. is more fun, imho, than most modern sports cars. You can really push it at legal speeds. You can't do it in my Subaru, to be honest, and it's even hard to do in my "so called girl's car" Miata - which is still very small and underpowered by today's standards.

Heck, my Subaru has so much grip and power that unless it is raining hard or in the dirt - I do not really think it's that great a driving car. In the dry that can can be driven fast by almost anyone - there isn't that much a sense of accomplishment driving it really fast in the dry. In the dirt, however, where it is slipping and sliding - it becomes a real hoot.

I think Audi has a suspension that combines sportiness and comfort almost as good as BMW - which is a big deal - because I do not think anyone does it as good as BMW does. Audi makes some really impressive cars nowadays.

I had an 84 VW GTI for about 9 years back in the 90's and miss driving that! I had a blast in it. The only time I get on my A6 is on the freeway! It goes! I totally respect your view on cars......... except the Miata...... did that come with a rainbow ColdPlay sticker on the back?

No. It came with Eibach lowering springs, rear spoiler and NGK blue plug wires. I bought this car when I moved to Oregon in 1996 and it's still with me. It was my only car and my daily driver for almost 10 years and was also my race car for 4 years - before I had kids, was at the track 3 out of every 4 weekends during the summer times with that car. Great great car - and I don't give a shit what people say about it, I am secure in my manhood! ;)
