Nets rookie forward Derrick Favors struggled mightily in the preseason, but his play so far this season has been refreshing. He's averaging a double-double and shooting 58% from the field in the early going and a league executive told Ken Berger of CBS Sports that Favors' "stock has skyrocketed." New Jersey had hoped to use Favors in a trade to acquire Carmelo Anthony from Denver before the season, but the Nuggets weren't sold on what the Nets were offering.
