OT: According to Charlie Villanueva, KG is a classless punk!

Interestingly, Mike Barrett was a recounting a story about Maurice the other day and essentially Lucas told one of our players while they were playing in Boston that KG was talking way too much and how the fine was so low back in the day for punching someone that KG would not have been doing that back then.

 

He called Villanueva a cancer patient because Charlie has Alopecia, which makes him bald and without eyelashes or eyebrows. A boy in my oldest daughter's class has that condition.

Get it! Chemo is funny because it makes you lose your hair! Fucking asshole. I hope Garnett blows out his knee, and that's the first time I've ever wished injury on a player. It would be ironic if KG was diagnosed with cancer, but I'd never wish that horrible disease on anybody, no matter how terrible they are as a person.

 

Luke would've definitely put KG in his place...writhing on the ground in pain.

It was painful to see KG and Boston vs. the Lakers in the finals last year. I wish it was possible for both teams to lose.

 

So true. I hated him before this...but he's really gone overboard now. With my wife battling cancer the last couple of years, I have no respect whatsoever for someone who would make such insensative comments. I really wish someone would just clock him someday.

 

And here all this time I thought KG was the cancer subject.

there used to be an excellent Kevin Garnett is a douche video on youtube that had the Jerryd Bayless dog barking and Aldridge scuffle...NBA took it down though.

 

I surprised ESPN even ran this, normally they love to protect the big names until there is definitive proof or the player is fined. KG should be fined for saying that to CV.

I don't know if they could fine him because it would be hard for them to prove it happened. Unless there's video of it.

 

This. KG is unbelievable... what an asshole.

 

My guess is that if KG played for the Blazers, most of the negative reaction would be different.

This was not KG making fun of an 8 yr old. This was two grown men battling to win a non-recreational league game. I do not fault CV for making it public since it brings awareness to his disease, but a far bigger statement could have been made on the court.

I would not invite KG over for dinner and think he is classless, but would love to see his fire in more of our players.

It's the first thing that came to mind for me too. I know a lot of the people on the board aren't old enough and never got to see him play but I am. I watched the Blazers win the championship. It's so difficult to describe the influence Maurice Lucas had on the court, on the opponent, and his team mates. I guarantee KG wouldn't have had the guts to talk trash to him.

 

...KG deserves a one week ban from S2!

 

My boy Collin Romer who is the media rep for the Blazers has the same condition. My wife grew up with Collin and said he had if pretty rough growing up in school. Fuck KG!

 

A player can have 'fire' without being a total dickhead like KG. I've hated that guy for a long, long time.

 

I didn't watch one second of that finals.

I hate both teams WAY too much to bother.

As much as I hate the teams, I loathe their collective fanbases far more.
Individually they may be ok but as a group they suck complete ass.

 

Classless is classless regardless of the team.

One of my least favorite Blazers of all time is Ruben the Rapist Patterson.

And he played really hard for the team and did good things on the floor.
