Same. Joel is a pro's pro. He does what he needs to do, he does it well, he takes shit from no-one, he does not bitch, moan, campaign or try to be cute.
I'd have to clear that with my better half, so it's probably not gonna happen. Haha. She loves Joel as a player, but as she just said: "It's too close to Joe, and I don't like that name." I would like to apologize to any Joe's out there who were offended by her thoughtless comments.
Man, Bonzi! I loved Bonzi! He was kind of jail-Blazer but he gave us some nice runs at Power-Guard! Don't think I read his name in this forum for years!
When they said that during the game they set this firm date for Joel to return but didn't mention Greg at all. Now I'm really starting to wonder what the dealio is.
I thought Pryz's career was over when he injured that knee. Then we he re-tore it, I KNEW his career was over. Joel, you are a true fuckin warrior!
I knew Joel was a TFW! That's why I said months ago that if anyone can possibly come back from this it's him!
They both look like they're moving really well in the vids we've been getting of their practices, but it seems like there's a temptation to link the return of Greg with Joel, which I think isn't fair. Two different guys, two completely different injuries at different times. Greg will be back, and they've made it clear they aren't giving timetables so it could be end of November still. I'm guessing a few more weeks but we'll see. Things are going well so far, so it's easier to be patient.
When he was working out in Chicago, he said he was ready to go RIGHT NOW! He yelled, "Somebody get me a uniform!"
that's awesome. I also think it's great the team is being cautious and making him wait a couple more weeks. It's just the prudent thing to do.
I question the decision to bring him back on a day when his fragile legs will have to carry an additional 10lbs of weight. I'd give him another week to work off that T-Day scarfdown.
